  • I firmly believe that as we go about our daily routines and when we’re least aware, we are being spared from harm in a myriad of unseen ways. If not for God’s angelic protection, we could’ve lost our lives long ago.

    An aspect of my own past has been woven into this special piece of poetry. When I was five or younger, my family and I were on vacation and we had parked outside a McDonalds. I have no recollection of this event, but for reasons unknown, I bolted out of the open van door and began crossing the street toward the building, stepping directly in the path of an oncoming car. I hadn’t seen them approaching, but they saw me just in the nick of time. If they had been going any faster, that would’ve been the day of a serious injury (at best) or else the day of my death (at worst). I’m so grateful when I hear this story of how the Lord spared me, His loving hand upon my life.
