Do we get who God is?

His eye is on the sparrow.
How much more is His eye on us?

    • He has counted every hair on our heads.
    • He knows our comings and goings.
    • He captures our tears in bottles.
    • He knows the desires of our hearts.

    What we think... God hears.

My mind is blown away by how intimately God knows me.

    What about you?

God captures every moment of our lives.

He sees us. Hears us. Cares for us.

Oh, my precious friend, we are valuable to God.

“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his steadfast love.” Psalm 33:18 ESV

To fear God is to see Him.

    To recognize His greatness.

To know Him at a deeper level.

To have hope in Him is to trust what He says.

And to lean into His understanding, not our own.

To believe His word is true and for our good.

His love for us always remains strong.

    Never fails. Never leaves.

    His love is steadfast.

God wants us to “get” Him, to know Him more.
Though we may not know all of Him, knowing more and more about Him every day grows our relationship in a mighty way.

When we understand who God is, our hope—all of it—will reflect His love for us—His everlasting love.

    Let’s journey together.

Precious Lord, Your mercy gives me life.

    Your love overcomes all things.

Your mighty arms of hope lift me from the miry clay.

I am released from the lies of this world.

O Abba, I praise Your name.

My eyes are open to who You are.

Help me to stay the course.

Give me the strength to withstand the frustrations of this world.

You have not given me a spirit of fear.

I desire to remain in Your will.

    Your grace humbles me.

You are my all in all.

    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • A Gift is a Gift--Right?
    Jul 26 2024

    Join our conversation!

    A gift is a gift—right?

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

Are you content with your gifting?

I’ve mentioned before—at least I believe I’ve discussed my issue with my voice here—for the longest time, I wouldn't say I liked how I sounded. Let’s say I was discontent with God’s gift.

The main point is that I didn’t recognize my voice as a gift from God. I was very self-focused compared to being Father-focused. “Why is my voice different?” “Why do I sound the way I do.”

    My, my. I, I.

    Ugh, it’s all about me.

Yet... This gift from Father, my voice, brings me such joy today. Audiobook narrator. Podcast host. Speaker. Radio host. Conference emcee. Goodness. How did I not know?

Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 (paraphrase)

Our Lord knows us. His plan for us never changes.

He designed us for His purpose and has placed us exactly where He needs us.

God gifts us to care for His children in unique ways.

Yet not every gift, though excellent and perfect, is the one we expect to get.

    • The gift of perseverance can be a gift wrapped in struggles.
    • The gift of knowledge can be wrapped in limited relationships.
    • The gift of mercy can be a gift wrapped in trials.
    • The gift of peace can be wrapped in a submissive heart.
    • The gift of encouragement can be wrapped in a different voice.
    • The gift of contentment is wrapped in less of me and more of God.

    And Joy?
J.O.Y. is always wrapped in Jesus, Overflowing You … and me.

What gift has Father given you that you may not be content with?

    Let’s journey together.

Oh, Father, You are the Lover of my Soul.

You are the ultimate gift-giver, and I adore You.

Open my heart to receive all You have for me.

Help me to understand that my desires are not always Your best for me.

I know Your gifts are good and perfect.

Remind my heart when I begin to back away from Your best.

Help me remain steadfast and true to Your calling for my life, to honor and glorify You.

    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • Are You in Need of Refreshing?

Are you in need of refreshing?

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

While traveling in Uruguay, I was mesmerized by the clarity of the Atlantic Ocean crashing on the rocks—it was crystal clear right up to the shoreline.

Walking on the beach, sand squishing between my toes, felt comforting. When I stepped into the water, it refreshed me with unexpected energy—unexpected yet needed.

The combination of heat and sand drained my energy.

Though the sand felt good, I expended more energy than I realized. The temperature wasn’t extreme. It was subtly warm and getting hotter as I walked.
I had no idea that dehydration was setting in.

    The water recharged me.
    It refreshed me.
    It revived me.

We can experience spiritual dehydration just as subtly.

We become complacent in our walk with Christ.
    The world weighs us down.
    Our energy is drained.
We plod along, oblivious to our spiritual need for a refreshing wave—a renewing.

As children of the Most High, we can live in a constant state of renewal.

Yet, like walking on the beautiful sand, we may not see the need to enter the water. This choice, sadly, is to remain spiritually dehydrated, which leaves us ill-prepared for the life we are called to live in Christ.

The Psalmist recognized his need for refreshing.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10 ESV).

Asking God to renew a right spirit in us is like stepping eagerly into the refreshing waves of the ocean. The salt cleanses our wounds. The strength of the waves causes us to shore up our footing. The breeze invigorates our senses.
We are revived, renewed, and recharged.

I love stepping into the ocean.
Where do you go to be refreshed?

    Let’s journey together.

Praise You, O God. Rush over me like refreshing waves. Cleanse my heart. Create a revived spirit within me. You are holy, O Lord. You are merciful. I desire to walk in Your way all of my days. To You, be all glory, honor, and praise. Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

    The Wind is Blowing

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

How stable are you when the wind blows?

Are you knocked off your feet by the slightest breeze?

    What about your family?

How are you at enduring the heat of your season?

Do you feel the sun of misfortune scorching your neck?

    What about your friends?

A truth—you and I are not created to endure the struggles of life alone.

Even our best effort is not good enough to hold back what can potentially harm us.

“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25

Only the Word of God in and through us will help us endure.

There's an urgency in the kingdom, my friend. Storms are raging,

    foundations are cracking,

    families are shaking,

    and individuals are running scared.

    Our only HOPE is Christ.
His Word endures forever and never, ever returns void.

    Let's journey together.

Father God, I lift my brothers and sisters to You.

Draw them close and breathe into their lives the hope, which is Christ alone.

Remove the lies of empty temptations, reveal the power of Truth, and destroy our enemy's blatant deceptions.

In Your Word, we trust, and we stand firm. Hallelujah!

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • What Does Independence Give You?
    Jul 19 2024

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

There’s a wave of resistance weaving its way through the world, stealing God’s ultimate freedom from under us.

    Consider what independence means—freedom.

Do you consider the ability to walk carefree around your neighborhood as freedom?

When you walk into a grocery store and you're only purchase limitation is the amount of money you choose to spend, does this represent freedom?

    • A roof over your head. A pillow to lay your head on. Freedom?
    • The opportunity to stand on a street corner and express your concerns, doubts, and preferences—freedom?
    • Your option to embrace Christ or deny Him, is this freedom?
    • God loves us so much; His plan includes our freedom.

    His plan includes independent thought.

His plan includes our ability to choose.

“He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.” Ephesians 1:7 NLT

Whatever we are doing at this moment, God has given us the freedom to do it, to express it, to embrace it, and to consider our options.

God could have created us as robotic beings—individuals who never question, never doubt, never disobey—and yet, because of His kindness and grace, He gave us free will—the ability to choose.

    Our ultimate freedom?

Freedom from death through His Son, Jesus Christ.

    Let’s journey together

    Father, Your kindness is abundant.
Your grace covers all my flaws.
I stand in awe of the cross.
I weep at the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
My sins—past, present, and future are forgiven by His righteousness.

    Thank You.

Life can be so hard, yet I feel Your loving presence. I know I'm not alone.

    Thank You, Lord.

You paid the ultimate price for me, my forgiveness, my freedom —thank You.

Help me never to forget the ONE who brought my freedom.
The ONE who paid the price.
The ONE who set me free.
    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

  • And The Transformation Begins
    Jul 17 2024

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

    Can you feel the change?

    It's happening right now.

Unlike Moses in 2 Corinthians 3:13, we do not need to fear the fading of God's glory on our faces.

We look forward to the ever-increasing glow of His transforming power.

In 2 Corinthians 3:18, we read that we are being transformed into God's image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Imagine it. Increasing glory. From one degree to another… Wow.

Increasing glory can only come from the Lord in us—the Holy Spirit.

Without the Spirit of Christ in us, we walk through life never experiencing God's glory.

His amazing transformation never takes place.

I can’t imagine going through life without the love of Father God and the guiding power of Christ’s Spirit in me.

    How are you being transformed?

    Let's journey together.

O Lord, help me to be faithful in sharing You with others.

    Remove any hesitancy in me.

Give me the boldness to praise You freely before men, unencumbered by fear or doubt.

As Your glory increases in me, may I intentionally share truth, Your truth, with total abandon. Hallelujah!

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

  • Tired. Ragged. And Worn Down.

Are you in need of restoration?

Many people today are driven by the restoration of old furniture, antique heirlooms, and historic homes, and they love to see the end results.

When restored to their pristine condition, the worn-out, torn-down, and ragged pieces are amazingly beautiful.

What about you—Are you in need of spiritual restoration?

Each of us encounters moments in our lives when we become tired, ragged, and torn down.

Our Heavenly Father knows our needs.

He supplies restoration to our body, mind, and soul through His word. His truth.

I resonate with the Psalmist’s cry, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.”

There are days when I’m just tired.
Days when my desire to keep “trying” wanes.

In those moments, I cry out to the Father for courage, energy, and strength.

Give me a willing spirit, O Lord, and fill me with Your joy.

Oh, how wonderful that we can speak to our Father in moments like these and know that He is listening.

    How about you?

Reach out right now and pray Psalm 51:12 from above. Ask Abba for complete restoration in your life. He will sustain you, my friend. Never doubt His love for you and His ability to provide when life seems impossible.

    Let’s journey together.

Abba Daddy, I love You so much. I come before You, seeking to know You more, seeking to hear Your voice.

    Thank You for the Scriptures.

Thank You for giving me Your Spirit as my guide.

Thank You for Your promises. You are faithful. Your word is true.

To You be all glory for the life You give me.

Praise You, Lord, for the peace I receive when I feel in need of restoration.

    Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
