  • Episode 17: It's Ok To Be Me
    Jun 10 2024

    Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to another episode. Today I am joined with my youngest guest ever, Manny from Confident Kids Movement. “Manny”, Claude Jennings III, is an 11 year old native of Silver Spring, Maryland. Manny is a YouTuber. His YouTube channel is called “Manny Time”.

It's OK to be ME is an uplifting and inspiring message to children and adults. This book celebrates all the differences that make each of us unique. It teaches that everyone should be proud of who they are, and to celebrate what makes them special. Manny stutters when he speaks and he shares how he finds confidence through that challenge. When you feel frustrated, it may take a little more time and effort, but keep talking. You can get through it!

    Hi Everyone,

Finally getting to post part 2 of this episode (sorry for the wait, been trying to juggle uni and podcasting and it's gotten a little hectic!).

In this episode, Ezra and I talk all about the impact fluency goals has on a child, why we should move away from fluency, Ezra's journey to stutterology and how they created the page and finished it all off with a great game of 2 truths and a lie.

    Questions asked in this episode:

Why do you think fluency should be no longer linked to stuttering and why should we move away from fluency (0:47)

How did it affect your childhood + how did doing severity charts impact you? (17:07)

Do you have any advice for teenagers at school? (35:37)

Why did you start and create stutterology? (43:50)

    2 Truths and Lie (50:33)
