• You're Gonna Need a Bigger Podcast

In honor of National Hot Dog Day, Scott and a reluctant Robbie ('cause he doesn't eat real hot dogs, doncha know), are talking about Pringles' new line of Pringles-flavored hot dog buns (say what?!); Jenifer Lewis' "Jackie's Back!" mockumentary is also celebrated today, Jackie Washington Day; a California Chinese restaurant levies fees if your kids act a fool; Pepsi apologizes for a funny social media post, because people are too sensitive these days; we don't have any love for Meta's Threads because we don't understand why it exists; and, we talk about "Jaws" again (because we're always going to do that, especially in the Summertime) and how even actors who had tiny bit parts are still capitalizing off the shark attack classic.

    But that's not all. folks!

We also talk about a new "Nightmare on Elm Street" that's been green-lit at Paramount; another sequel to 1992's erotic thriller "Basic Instinct" is coming, this time written by the original movie's screenwriter, Joe Eszterhas; you can buy Bruce Wayne's Wayne Manor from the 1960's television show (but the Batcave is not included, sadly); a naked stand-up comedy show kicked off a naked bike ride in Chicago this past weekend (why?); the first-ever FIFA halftime show is happening this coming Sunday afternoon (along with a soccer game, supposedly); and, we pay tribute to singer Bonnie Tyler and actor Sam Neill, who both left u s this past week.

    It's a lot, y'all, but it's a super fun, all-over-the-map conversation.

  • I'd Like to Express My Extreme Point of View
    Jul 8 2026

Wow! We're excited, and hope you'll dig it, too, because we've brought back old-school 'Swish Edition' by spending the first 20-minutes of the show in a free-flowing, all-over-the-map conversation. We think it's fun, y'all.

After that, Scott insisted that this week's new episode should be dedicated to the world of country music of the 1970s, but Robbie kinda sorta mandated that we HAD to discuss the official release of Madonna's new "Confessions II" album. So, we do the whole Siskel and Ebert treatment on that. And, man, Robbie gets FIRED up. It's both fun and a little scary to watch. He's passionate about his Madonna and he's bringing ALL the facts and insights.

We also discuss Disneyland celebrating their one-billionth guest; AI-powered actress Tilly Norwood landing a feature film role; Weird Al and Madonna say no to AI (but is she telling the whole truth?); the late Willy Wonka actor, Gene Wilder, is being resurrected for a new reality show; and, much more pop culture silliness of the week.

  • Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Pop Culture
    Jul 1 2026

A few days before America's big fat 250th birthday, hosts Scott and Robbie are talking about one of the most American things of all time—Dolly Parton's new Tennessee truck stop! Then, they're talkin' about the increasing (and very troubling) Big Brother-like AI surveillance systems that are being deployed in the U.S. at places such as bars, stop signs, and crosswalks. Plus we have the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds taking over the skies of Las Vegas; Bed, Bath & Beyond coming back in a big way; a crazily frivolous lawsuit is targeting Waffle House's advertisements; physical media—like DVDs and vinyl records—are more important than you thought; "Murder She Wrote" has it's time to shine again on the stage; and, our word of the week is 'mononymous.' You know lots of mononymous celebs, like Cher and Madonna and Seal and Sting. If you had a mononymous name, what would it be?

All that, and more pop culture topics…stuff you just HAVE to know, y'all…for Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

  • Let's Do the Time Warp Again!
    Jun 24 2026

Brad, Janet, Frank-N-Furter, and company from the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" are coming back in a BIG way to the Las Vegas Sphere; legendary sitcom director James Burrows and music industry legend Clive Davis have left us; Madonna tells "Interview" magazine why her biopic died at Universal Pictures; Scott ran into stars from "The Young and the Restless" and "Glee" in the same week; ranch dressing—of all things—is all the rage with foreign visitors here for the FIFA World Cup; McDonald's brings back a classic to help celebrate America's 250th birthday; director Steven Spielberg tells James Bond that he can't afford him now; and, it's beyond time for New York City's horse-drawn carriages to be retired forever.

All that, and much more pop culture silliness, for Wednesday, June 24.

  • Two Beers and a Puppy
    Jun 17 2026

As we all get older and our time is more valuable, do we actually know the best way to weed people out of our inner-circles? Well, it's actually pretty easy and It involves two beers and a puppy. Are you ready to put 'em through the test?

Then, Scott and Robbie talk about Coors Light's new 18-inch 'Tallerboy' beer can cooler promotion for the FIFA World Cup…why a Pennsylvania neighborhood said "no way Jose" to a permanent Michael Myers mannequin…we continue with our "Summer of Madonna" when we talk about how she released the official music video for "Bring Your Love" this past Monday…fans are slamming 81 year old rock icon Rod Stewart for drinking and whooping it up at a FIFA soccer match hours after cancelling a concert in San Diego the night before...and we have a fun discussion about the surprising 1980's pop hits (that we all know very well) that never placed as high as the Top 40.

After that, we discuss Steven Spielberg's new "Disclosure Day" movie (decidedly WITHOUT spoilers, 'cause we don't play that way)…and talk about how Martin Scorsese is getting slammed by the Art Directors' guild for collaborating with AI to take jobs away from human artists and career filmmakers. It's NOT a good look for an iconic American film director, to say the least.

All that, and much more pop culture silliness, for Wednesday, June 17.

  • Jason Voorhees' Least Favorite Friday
    Jun 12 2026

Two episodes in one week?! Yup, it's true. In this Friday BONUS episode, we try to figure out what those people are doing in New York City's sewers at night…question Elmo's allegiance to the Knicks…tell ya what we thought of "Scary Movie 6"…find out why a new movie is being released exclusively on VHS…why an environmentalist drag queen is getting sued by a clothing company…and warn you that AI voice cloning scams are on the rise big time (don't send anybody any money without triple checking if Grandma really is in jail, people). All that and much more.

It's a super special bonus episode for Friday, June 12, which is, as you can probably imagine, Jason Voorhees' least favorite kind of Friday.

  • Lipstick on the Airbag
    Jun 10 2026

Sometimes great plans don't come together as intended, but then something altogether different happens. This week, Scott wrote an inspired 10-story outline, but he and Robbie only got to four of the topics! So, y'all get today's show, then a bonus episode this coming Friday, June 12. Yup, we've got A LOT to say this week.

Episode 518 curiously starts with an age-old question: "Is ketchup an appropriate condiment on a hot dog?' before we pop over to Madonna's surprise mini-concert in Times Square (plus, a review her new short movie that dropped this week on YouTube)…ask if people really should put the phone away at concerts and live in the moment (Madonna says YES, as do we, sort of)…ponder why Hollywood isn't making rewatchable and quotable movies in the 21st century…and then, break down our history with Broadway shows including a little bit about Sunday's Tony Awards.

It's certainly a myriad, but it's super fun. We promise. And you always believe us…right?

  • Hot Fun in the Summertime
    Jun 3 2026

With Robbie in Walla Walla, Washington, and Scott in Palm Springs, California, this week, the boys are all over the place even though they attempted to stay on track…but that's what makes the episode more fun!

They're talking about a super fun Guinness World Record set in Palm Springs this past weekend; General Motors' fleecing of America; alligators are popping up in unusual places (and in more ways than one); actor Brad Pitt is being sued by a penis cream company; KFC wants to give you a new nickname; the Tony Awards are coming to our TVs this Sunday; "Scary Movie 6" and "Masters of the Universe" are coming to theaters this Friday; "Cape Fear" is getting an AppleTV series remake; and your hosts share their customized Summer music playlists. All that and MUCH more pop culture goodness (and badness) for June 3!
