    Jun 28 2024
RadioStPeteINSIDER news director Nanette Wiser interviewed Brain Peret, a tech leader and community advocate, published author and musician and a man of many hats in our community. He is the President of the Campbell Park Neighborhood Association and we chatted about the changes and vision for that community...as well as about his fur-baby Sunny, named for his adopted home town of our Sunshine City.

As Director of CodeBoxx Academy, Brian oversees the design, implementation and assessment of programs that provide valuable technical skills to our community and align with profitable future careers. https://www.codeboxx.com/

His previous career as a software engineer in the world of tech start-ups and a distinguished career in academia at University of Wisconsin showcase his passion for STEM and he recently gave a TEDx talk at The Palladium. He sits on the Digital Inclusion Leadership Council as part of his mission to provide empowerment opportunities to the community and individuals in need.

In addition to his love music and performing (sax, bass guitar, percussion, vocalist, piano) Peret supports STEAM the importance of creativity in science. But wait, there's more to this inspiring young leader! A passionate cyclist, Peret is a member of the Mayor's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and leader of St. Pete Critical Mass, the largest ride in the Tampa Bay area.

We hope Brian will resuscitate his Grey Matters podcast for RadioStPete.com. Stay tuned!
