The Messenger warned us that when America removed the gold and silver backing from her currency, the dollar became 100 percent inflated, stripped of its true value. Today, we see his words fulfilled as nations turn away from the dollar, America’s strength weakens, and the so-called “almighty dollar” proves powerless before the Almighty Allah.

But this class is not about economics alone. It is about morality, unity, and survival. The Messenger came to give us a thorough knowledge of ourselves and of our open enemy, so we might rise, clean ourselves up, and do something for ourselves. As the dollar falls, the question for us is simple: are we declining with America, or are we increasing in value by practicing the Messenger’s teachings?

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

This episode takes us deep into the divine command of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad: “Build Our Own Society.”

The Messenger taught us that we have the qualified men and women among us to think, plan, and work in the way of independence. He warned us that the life of this world has been made so fair-seeming that many of us cannot even conceive of another world, a world better than what our open enemy has offered. But this is a fatal mistake.

We are reminded that Allah has not forsaken us. He has already given us the blueprint, the economic program, the moral law, and the divine wisdom to establish a new reality. The time demands that we stop depending on others, and begin to do something for ourselves — for our children, and for the generations yet unborn.

If we do not build, what will be left? But if we rise to our responsibility, we can create a society of freedom, justice, and equality, a true Nation within a nation.

This episode is a call to the lost and found Black man and woman in America: the time is now to unite, to work, and to build.
