    Jul 7 2024

Jason King is a Private Investigator who works in the fields of workplace harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, elder abuse, and cyber crime.

He has worked with the Victorian Police Force, The Australian Federal Police and recently has set up his own business as a PI.

We chat with Jason about how he has cared for himself after visiting horrific crime scenes, suicide and cyber pornography.

The interesting twist to his story is he is the husband of one of the two nurses we interviewed who has PTSD from working in a Victorian hospital during Covid.

We chat how this has impacted him, how they have coped as a couple and how they continue to navigate the ups and downs of a loved one having PTSD.

Jason speaks honestly and openly about what he and his wife have been through and it was such a privilege to listen to Jason open up and chat so openly about their struggles.

His PI company is called Regional Queensland Investigations.

  • Operation redress: Patient Advocates
    Jun 16 2024

Michael and Maddison are industry disruptors. They are known for the part they played in the Daniel Lanzer case, and have moved into the non-surgical cosmetic space.
They are pushing for tighter regulations around advertising within the cosmetic arena as they view what is advertised as unethical and this in turn will cause patient harm.
On this I agree that some have been doing the wrong thing, however, most of the practitioners only do the right thing by their patients and enhance their lives through self image improvement.
This is an interesting podcast and gives you good for thought.

Today on the podcast we chat with Salliann Powell.

Salliann is an ultra marathon runner and one amazing human!

I first met Salliann through waterpolo when our daughters played for Queensland together. She was the manager of the team, and my God, did those girls make her work!

I saw through social media that Sal was running ultra marathons and raising fund for the Nerve Connection Foundation,

so I decided to ask her to chat about her adventures and goals and I was blown away!

    5 deserts in 12 months!

    Africa (Namibia)

    Chile (Atacama)

    Mongolia (Gobi)

    Antarctica (The last Desert)

    Jordan

We chat about the mind set to run ultra marathons, the preparation, and why Salliann decided to do this.

It is such an amazing chat about just putting one foot in front of the other, mental strength and resilience.

I’ll add where you can follow Sal’s journey, send her messages of encouragement and donate to the foundation.

When Salliann finishes all 5 deserts, she will be the first Australian female to do this! Now THAT is amazing!!!

Amin left Iran 11 years ago. He paid a smuggler to get out Iran, then to Malaysia,Indonesia and finally on a boat to Australia.

The wooden boat had holes in it, the engines stopped working, the smuggler fled the boat and they were left on their own.

To flee a country where your whole life is under threat takes immense bravery and courage. No one would make this decision to be smuggled out of a country lightly.

Amin shares these details with us. How he learnt English, works, has been married for the last 5 years and what his life looks like here in Australia.

This is a fascinating podcast around the implications of leaving a country illegeally and the domino effect once that decision has been made.

I hope you enjoy today’s chat.
