    You have probably heard by now that Meta and Be My Eyes have entered in to a partnership to bring Be My Eyes to the Meta Ray Bans. We get Jeanine’s unique perspective of all the announcements from Aira’s viewpoint. Jeanine also tells us about the current beta program at Aira where you can connect to an agent using WhatsApp on the Meta Ray Bans. We then explore the Be My Eyes Meta details that have come out so far. Envision is also partnering with Meta. Wow, somebody must feel left out! We then discuss some of the other upgrades coming to the Meta Frames. Celebrity voices are coming to the Meta Frames. We then properly get to the segment of the show according to the outline where we discuss Llama 3.2. And Meta announced that their AR Orion project is the future.

We then discuss the new camera button coming to some of the phones. During the event apple kept pimping out the bigger battery life, so how much bigger is it? Here are the biggest differences between the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. Apple announced a new Mag Safe charger, don’t buy it. Apple finally killed the lightning cable for all new products. Apple announced the air Pod 4’s, making the Air Pod product line very confusing. The Air Pod Pro 2’s will be able to replace hearing aids for people with low to moderate hearing loss. Will Air Pods doubling as hearing aids challenge new social norms? We got the Apple Watch Series 10, and one of us already ordered one. Sleep Apnea detection comes to the new watches. We got a drop date for iOS 18 on Monday, September 16th, and fortunately Allison and Jeanine have been running the betas.     Will the U.S. government look to break up Google and what would it mean for the consumer? And is Apple next on the Justice Department’s list? We then briefly discuss Pixel phones.

    We then continue our conversation from our last episode about Apple Intelligence being more of a concept then a reality. The iPhone 16 is rumored to be getting a new button, why apple, why? Mac OS Sequoia will require regular permission checks when using certain apps. And the E.U. will be forcing Apple to have App Developers provide an address, phone number and email on all paid App Store pages.

    Sonos is considering relaunching their old app. On a some what related note, Sonos has laid off another 100 employees.

And as soon as the paint dried on the news of AppleVis shutting down, Orcam while not publicly, but it has been announced that Orcam will halt development of visual aides. Switching from dying products to new products, would you wear an always listening A.I. pendent? We then discuss Google pulling their Gemini A.I. ad from the Olympics after the backlash it received. In our favorite story for this episode, Epic’s Tim Sweeney is blasting Apple’s Find My for actually tracking the thief who stole his MacBook. Say what! Logitech wants to sell you one more mouse for the rest of your life, but they also want you to pay a subscription for it! What, again! Siri supposedly seems to get better in iOS 18.1, but does it really? Allison has been running iOS 18.1 and gives us her opinions of how things are running so far. We then discuss everything Apple Intelligence can and can’t do in iOS 18.1. It ends up iOS 18 could be the safest way to use ChatGPT. And will this whole partnership with ChatGPT blow up in Apple’s privacy face? We then talk about the new feature coming to iOS 18 called reduced interruptions for notifications.     It’s an all new That Real Blind Tech show. It’s an episode like none other as Brian sits down with a lot of the cast, and the Creator, Director, and writer of the all blind sitcom pilot, Don’t Look Now.

    Joining us on this exclusive behind the scenes look at don’t Look Now is Rebecca S. Meadows The Co-Creator, Executive Producer and she also plays Becca, Brian McCarthy who plays Drew, Michael Gallant who plays CJ, Jamie Jung the Casting Director and he also plays Billy, Olga Itsenko who plays Olga, and the Creator, Director, and writer Geno Marks. We get to know a little bit about the cast members and then find out how Don’t Look Now went from its early conception to the filmed pilot episode.

    We find out a little bit about everyone’s first impressions with Don’t Look Now, and then Jamie gives us a peek behind the scenes at the casting process.

    We then get everyone’s thoughts on what first drew them to Don’t Look Now.

    Michael then tells us how he prepared to play someone who is totally blind.

    Brian McCarthy takes us behind his process to playing Drew and Olga lets us know what her experience was like as a first time actress.

    Which then leads to the cast discussing how comfortable everyone felt on set and around each other. They became a true ensemble.

    Geno then tells us how he and Frank the Director of Photography approached working with a mostly blind and low vision cast.

    We then get the opinions of the cast what it is like to be sitting in the theater for the premiere of their work in front of an audience that is seeing the show for the first time.

    Which leads us to getting everyone’s favorite memory from the set.

    We started recording minutes after reports started that Trump had been shot, and not knowing if it was fake news, we had to go with the information we had at the time of recording. Which leads us in to some of the news that came out about Aira during the conferences.

    We then start off discussing the report that Air BnB fails to protect its guests against spying cameras. Which then leads us to discussing if we ever get freaked out that someone is filming us.

    Just in time for Prime Day, Amazon’s A.I. Shopping Assistant is rolling out to everyone in the U.S.

    We then dive in to Conference season as David explains to us what happens all day at the NFB Conference. David then fills us in about the exhibit hall at the conference. David then fills us in how the resolution voting process works. We then discuss the nightlife at the conference. We then discuss the Saturday night screening of the blind sitcom Don’t Look Now which screened at the Regal Cinema in Orlando. According to a recent survey more authentic disability is wanted in film and T.V.

    We then move to discuss some of the latest Aira announcements and some of the fake news that was spreading around at the conferences.

    Jeanine then fills us in on her experiences at the ACB Conference in Jacksonville. Jeanine tells us about her experience demoing the Guidance Mobility device. Jeanine then tells us about the other items she got to check out at the conference.

    Brian then discusses the CVPR conference he just spoke at in Seattle. The conference is all about computer vision and A.I.Next Brian discusses his jaunt off to L.A.

    We then discuss the recent article that pooping on the Moon is a messy business. You got to love articles like these! On a brilliant Segway, it ends up Perplexity is a bullshit machine!

    No surprise that a research study has proven that when it comes to hiring people with disabilities ChatGPT has been proven to be ableist. Which then leads us to discussing the blind American adult unemployment rate.

    An A.I. Al Michaels will bring you daily personalized Olympic updates on Peacock.

    Yelp of all places is adding more ways to search for businesses and accessibility.

    Would you pay an extra five to ten bucks a month for a smarter Alexa?

    We then discuss fun with google sheets. Soon in Google Chrome Mobile you will be able to call restaurants, get reviews and perform other tasks from the address bar. We then discuss what our go to browsers are on both desktop and mobile. It is rumored that you will eventually be able to make Gemini sound like your favorite YouTuber.

    We then dive in to the upcoming NFB and ACB conferences. Jeanine will be attending ACB, while Brian and Vice-President David will be at the NFB Conference in Orlando.

    While it is early in the iOS 18 beta cycle, we are hearing that currently iPhone Mirroring is completely inaccessible. Despite reports, no, apple and Meta are not considering an A.I. partnership. And you will not want to miss the first ever and probably last ever version of That Real Blind Tech Show trivia.
