Her story has had a HUGE impact on the world. She is the reason for the AMBER Alert system we are all familiar with today. AMBER is an acronym BUT it is named after her. Because of her story, over 1000 lives have been saved as a direct result of the AMBER Alert. Her case is unsolved, however, it remains open.
