She has also written articles for other noteworthy publications including Themelios, the Midwestern Journal of Theology and the Gospel Coalition. She has also contributed to the Lexham Dictionary of Church History. Jenny-Lyn and her husband, JD, live and attend church in Tsawwassen, British Columbia.

    This week on The About Her Podcast, Abigail O'Neel chats with Rachel Setliffe about Unwanted Divorce, Abandonment, and Restoration. Rachel is the president of Restored Home, a ministry that seeks to love abandoned women by leading them, first, towards the God who restores, and second, towards the Church who is equipped, prepared and willing to love and care for her well. Restored Home desires to see hurting women restored by God and shepherded by their local church in loving, practical, and helpful ways. 

    Rachel will share how the Lord has brought restoration to her own life and home after she walked through an unexpected and unwanted divorce. She will chat honestly with us about unwanted divorce, will share a few things she wants the church to know about caring for abandoned women, and will testify to the goodness and kindness of our God, who loves his bride, even giving his life up for her.

    In addition to serving as the president of Restored Home, Rachel is a missionary in Scotland. She has served as a women’s ministry director at her church, which she helped plant in Glasgow in 2013. She enjoys discipling women, writing, teaching bible studies, and creating content and resources for abandoned women and the church. Most importantly, she is Mum to two sweet girls.
