On this week's On the Horizon episode, Derrick is joined by Texas hunter and MLB Orioles starting pitcher, Grayson Rodriguez.

Grayson is a native Texan from Nacogdoches, where he grew up with a love for both baseball and hunting. From playing baseball in the spring to hunting in the fall, Grayson has continued his passion for both sports and has seen himself go above and beyond in both areas. Currently, Grayson is in his first season as the starting pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles and continues to do some Texas hunting in the off season.

Grayson and Derrick discuss what it takes to care for a herd and how to grow monster bucks. Grayson talks about his upcoming Mexico hunt for a mule deer, hunting with his wife, his first deer at 7 years old, and how baseball and hunting season have the perfect rotating schedule with each other.

Hear all about the commonalities between Derrick and Grayson, including knowing a lot of the same people in the outdoor industry, owning German Shorthaired Pointers, their love of duck hunting, and rooting for the Texas Aggies.
