This ceremonial perpetuation of the fatness/sadness cycle ensures we remain fat enough that every time you catch your soft, flabby meat bag in the mirror you’ll react in the worst way possible and bury those feelings deep in a carton of ho hos. Sure, overeating can be a lot of fun, but is there a downside to this beloved past time?
