    The Great River Road National Scenic Byway, now recognized as an All-American Road and known as the "Happiness Highway," is a historic route that features seven bridges and Amtrak train access. It winds through 33 Wisconsin towns, offering attractions like locks and dams and interpretive centers. Notable stops in the north include Prescott's Freedom Park, the Native American Effigy Mounds in Hager City, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Pepin.
