  • December 8th 2004. Concert attendees heard multiple loud bangs. A guitar emitted shrieking feedback that seemed to linger forever as the bands guitarist collapsed on stage. 25-year-old Nathan Gale, a deranged fan, had stormed the stage and fatally shot Damageplans’ lead guitarist Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott.
