Mac has a pretty impressive Aussie accent and can do a few pretty decent celebrity impersonations as well.  Paul has a whole character he's created and actually fooled an entire acting troupe during a multi-day play production by staying in character for the entirety of the show.

Mac and Paul talk about future technologies and meander into the realm of covid; go figure.  Why does it always come back to covid?!

In episode 18 Mac and Paul talk with Duncan Shepard.  Duncan works as a professional video editor in Los Angeles and is an avid motorcycle rider.  Besides all of that, Duncan is very well read, well rounded, and an interesting fellow.  You can tell all of this just by watching or listening to this week's episode of the conversation.

No one knows for sure whether this world is real or if we're actually plugged into a computer program that makes everything seem real.  But it sure is an interesting concept and Mac and Paul are fascinated by it.

Mac and Paul talk about some of the archaic methods used in the practice of medicine as late as the 18th and 19th century.  They basically used to shock the shit out of women and gays, as well as hand out lobotomies like they were candy.  We look back on medicine from 100 years ago and wonder why these people ever did the things they did, and in another hundred years we'll do the same.  Yet there are people walking around talking about how the science is settled.  Nonsense!

The "Pandemic" is over and it's time to start rebuilding.  The future can be anything we want it to be.  As we plan for the future it's important to be aware of how far society has been set back by the previous two and a half years.  The next time something like this comes along we know there are better ways to handle things; and certain things that should not be done.
