So its been a while since ive been able to put my self back together after taking a spiritual hit from some unforeseen events that took place.
This week I get to talk about what great things I am pursuing in life. We touch on how woke you have to be to have an opinion on social media.
The controversy of woman's boxing in the olympics with Iman who has a rear disease that has her in a contraversal predicament and the sensitive nature of people who consider them selves experts on research.

I had the pleasure of meeting Carlos many years ago in the House of Pain Gym that we b both trained in. Back then Carlos was a young up and coming fighter with a goal and a plan. Now he is a World Champion Title holder a crowned King in the Ring and a proud father.

What a day
This morning I was in Meremere which is a very small village heading north from Kirikiriroa towards Tamaki Makaurau to help my cousin and with his mothers books (Whakapapa/Family tree) recording her and our other Aunties. After they yummy kai (Food) I heading to Paeroa for a Hui (Meeting) with whanau about the future of our Marae Te Pai O Hauraki. That meeting finished around 530 is so I b lined it back to Kirikiriroa to set up for Chris Heke.
I Met Chris a few years ago as I transitioned from Boxing at Manatangata to trying my hand at Brazilian Jiujitsu. More recently taking my teenaged son to Core Mma to get some movement happening I had to pleasure to become friends with Chris. Everything about Chris is authentic and genuine and very knowledgable so you can guess we got on like a house on fire.
Chris Heke is what I would call an unsung hero doing the mahi he does and the way he is when you are around him, an interesting Tane with an even more interesting story, his philosophy on Martial Arts , Life , Community Support and Spiritual and Mental Health healing practices . I had a visit from a friend of mine Phil Bell aka Dj Sirvere.
Born in Kirikiriroa Waikato, Dj Sirvere has become a name in Aotearoa HipHop.
Recognize was a Music TV show that had Dj Sirvere and DLT host sparking a national wave of Music , Dance , Art and Djing with there compitition they held where you could win the latest set of Vestex Turnies and Mixer which was won by Kirikiriroa HipHop Crue Native sons (Marcus Taukiri, Norm, Tauk and DJ Freeman Fatu)

Bboy Delite has an amazing story from being in Time Bandits to making his way into 4 Corners and also one of the Allstar Disruptiv Bboys. Jorel Mqueen has traveled near and far with Dancing, mixing it up with some of the best in the world and also rolling with his cousin BBoy RK into the HipHop realm of battling.
Bboy Delite is one of my favourite stylistic dancers to come out of the Waikato , and even though he is not dancing at this moment in time you never know.
Jorel speaks about his journey moving through the stages in life to the mahi he does now and it is amazing if you ask me. Listen in as we re connect and speak on it.

Part 2
We continue talking about my recovery from the tumour and self healing, also the importance of strengthening and supporting our Wahine to create a better environment for our children and their children. We speak on generational trauma which effects many of us but seems to be more up front in today's society. The conversation leads in to some of the most awkward moments and some of the most amazing moments in both our journeys not only having had survived growing up in this racist society but now we can are at the age we can enjoy life. Gaming is a big part of family life for Marcus and I like to think Im a gamer (but Im not that good) so we conversate about Marcus's journey on twitch and delve into the RockStar Universe of gaming.
