Trapped In Treatment is a new docu-style podcast series from Paris Hilton & Warner Bros. Unscripted TV in Association With Telepictures, and iHeart Media, that will examine and expose the dark secrets of the “Troubled Teen Industry.” Beginning with Provo Canyon School, each season will focus on the story of one youth treatment facility, its survivors, and the traumatizing abuse at the hands of their captors. Hosted by Caroline Cole and Rebecca Mellinger, Trapped in Treatment weaves together personal accounts with historical detail and expert opinions to shine a light on what really happens at behavior modification centers and how this billion-dollar industry has flourished for so long.

  • Ep. 319 ISKCON and other spiritual groups - Episode 150 Part 2 Remastered
    Jul 17 2024
In this remastered episode I chat with someone who has experienced The International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Michael gives a deep dive into many types of Religious and Spiritual groups he has joined, with a focus on a particularly problematic sub-group within the Hare Krishna movement called "The Mantra Lounge". I personally do not condone joining established cults or high demand groups for personal or social experimentation. Please be careful.

Featured Article: Delve into the Darker Side of Human Nature with the 15 Best Podcasts About Cults

Cults are fascinating. There’s something curiosity-inducing about stories of ordinary people who get wrapped up in groupthink that quickly veers into dangerous territory. Part of the appeal is because we think it could never happen to us, even though we suspect, deep down, that it absolutely could. These listens explore the nature of cults, the figures who lead them, and the followers who have been lured into their orbits.

Love the pod

This creator dives deep into cults in a graceful way and by allowing the victims/ survivors tell their experiences in their own voices. This is great and I plan on listening to all the episodes. Good length episodes too.

Thank You

I have soaked in every episode of this podcast. To keep this topic alive, exposing mind control, religious abuse and other abusive behaviors by cults is a topic that we cannot let die. Thank you for having me on your show and caring about sharing my story. Our survivor voices matter. We need people like you to keep them alive. Thank you so much. Vennie Kocsis, author of "Cult Child" and survivor of Sam Fife's Move of God (SMOG) cult.

Host handles hot topic handily

In a podcast world where the subject matter is usually handled with a macabre interest, Kacey asks intelligent questions about cult psychology and history, roots for her guests' success, and adds keen observations. Her voice is calm and soothing and presence reassuring.

Too many interviews vs content 2+ hr episodes

I really wanted to like this!!!! But with so many interview episodes vs informational content and 2+hour episodes I’m done. Cults on Parcast Network is far far better!!!!!!!!!!!!
