These are THE GREATEST STORIES FRED TOLD.

Fred moved to Toronto just before 9/11. He was a marketer/consultant, then a college business prof teaching Finance and Marketing. Until the summer of 2009 came crashing down on him, with a continuous stream of medical traumas, which were amplified by ongoing medical error and misdiagnosis. The result - his being clinically dead twenty times. This left him with brain damage, PTSD, Post-concussion syndrome and ongoing anxiety. The result was being forced onto permanent medical leave. And this was just the beginning.

Since then, Fred has been hospitalized 22 times, and undergone twelve heart procedures, with more to come. The short story is his heart was stopping. Most times his heart stopped, he collapsed, hit his head, sustaining multiple concussions. They eventually figured out he needed a pacemaker. Which was great. Until the infallible pacemaker failed in 2013, requiring two emergency surgeries. And it failed again in 2018, with more surgery required. There were additional complications in 2019 and 2020.

In 2018, Fred learned about intermittent fasting. His life hasn’t been the same since. He attributes the large majority of his recovery to the healing powers of IF. Fred is down 10 pant sizes and counting. Today, Fred spends much of his day talking to people about resiliency, overcoming adversity and living their best, healthy lives. His book, The Summer I Died Twenty Times, is being released in Mar 2023. Oh, and he is developing The Dead Man Walking Podcast. Coming soon to all the popular podcasting apps. The podcasts’ main themes are overcoming adversity, emerging authors, small business and of course, intermittent fasting/mental health/health.

These are THE GREATEST STORIES TIM TOLD.

Since his first memorable visit to New York City with his mom in 1999, Tim Dolan has had a love affair with Broadway ever since. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Tim Dolan moved to “The Big Apple” in 2003 to pursue a career in the arts. Finally settling in Hamilton Heights, Tim has spent the past eighteen years making Times Square his second home in many different capacities: as actor, educator, historian, tour guide, and entrepreneur.

As an actor Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Onstage Tim performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz and in the revival of Once Upon a Mattress. He has been a proud member of Actors’ Equity for the past thirteen years.

As an arts educator, Tim was on faculty at Rosie’s Theater Kids, Rosie O’Donnell’s arts organization for five years. Since 2017, Tim has also been featured on NY1’s On Stage with host Frank Dilella as the show’s resident historian and storyteller.

Having always wanted to pry open the Broadway history books and oral histories, his company, Broadway Up Close, has been a labor of love that has been sharing stories and smiles with theatre-goers for the last thirteen years on the busy sidewalks of the Broadway theatre district and spreading joy at his Broadway Gift Shop in the heart of Times Square.

These are THE GREATEST STORIES NATALIA TOLD.

Natalia Perez was born and raised in North Hollywood, California to Mexican/Puerto Rican/Irish parents. Growing up in her household, music and culture served as the center of her upbringing. Natalia fell in love with the idea of broadcasting and radio when she was 8 years old.

Natalia started her radio career when she was 19-years-old, working for Clear Channel’s Top-40 station KIIS. In September 2009, she got her first on-air opportunity with MCM Entertainment co-hosting a nationally syndicated Top 40 Countdown show called “The Hot Hits Live from LA” that aired in 60 markets across Australia. In 2011 she began working with Hot 92.3 Los Angeles doing the Hollywood Reports with Rick Dees’ Morning show! In 2012 she continued working with Hot 92.3 on their new morning show hosted by Jimmy Reyes.

In April of 2014 Natalia began working with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a pre-game in stadium host and she continues to work with the Dodgers organization today.

In 2015 Big Boy brought his morning show to the newly flipped Real 92.3. With one team member short, Natalia was the only suggestion made by top execs to fill the void and from day one it was apparent why. She joined Louie G and Dj VickOne as a key members of Big Boy’s Morning Show. Today she can also be heard on Big Boy’s syndicated show, which airs in over 24 plus markets.

Natalia has a distinct voice and infectious personality. She loves music, movies and coffee. She also enjoys spending time with her one year old Son and Husband of 4 years and volunteering with her local YMCA. She’s extremely thankful to do what she loves and feels blessed to walk into the studio every day and have fun!

    May 8 2023

In this episode, we welcome the owner and founder of Plus BKLYN (Brooklyn), Alexis Hope Krace.

Plus BKLYN is New York City's only plus size boutique selling new, vintage & resale fashions. They feature bold and trendy downtown styles (and outrageous accessories) with a focus on sustainability & second-hand goods for women sizes 12+

The concept for Plus BKLYN was born out of owner Alexis Krase’s first-hand experience. For years she had struggled to find affordable, accessible and sustainable clothing options in her size, a 4X, which fit well and were uniquely her style. Of the limited options available to plus sizes, she found that most were online only, the fit was often poor or designed to hide her shape and they primarily targeted a more mature audience.  Surprised that no boutique or store was meeting this need in New York City, she resolved to open her own.

These are THE GREATEST STORIES ALEXIS TOLD.
