  • Transform Your Idea of Self-Worth with Reset Breath Work
    Oct 2 2024

Have you been feeling disconnected from yourself, stuck in old patterns, or weighed down by unresolved emotions? Reset breathwork offers a powerful way to transform your sense of self-worth by helping you release stored emotional energy from your body. Unlike other practices, reset breathwork allows you to process emotions without getting caught up in the stories or memories attached to them. This creates space for healing, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of connection to your inner strength. And the most beautiful experience is that as you drop into your body and let go of emotional blockages, you start to rebuild your beliefs, cultivate self-trust, and align with your true potential.

In this episode, we talk about reset breath work, why it’s so effective, and how it can help you drop into your body and reconnect with yourself with a returning guest, Kate. Kate is a business and embodiment coach who describes herself as an inner power activator on a mission to help women reclaim the power within to develop their businesses from a place of inner strength. With a master's degree in coaching and certification in over 20 modalities, including inner child work, parts work, and breathwork, Kate has deeply invested in her spirituality and credits Tarot with saving her life by deepening her connection to her inner voice.

For the past seven years, she has used Tarot to help clients quickly access deeper insights, lower their defences, tap into their intuition, and clear away the blocks holding them back. Through the processes of embodying clarity, rebuilding beliefs, and reintegrating parts, Kate creates a dynamic space for solo-led women to reclaim their voices, stand in their unshakable worth, and make business decisions aligned with their highest selves.

Children face countless challenges in today’s world, from academic pressures to the demands of sports and social life. As parents, equipping them with tools to shift their energy and mindset can help them navigate these obstacles with confidence and resilience. In this episode, we explore how Katherine’s new book for kids, Become a Star Athlete in 90 Days: Mastering Youth Mindset in Sports, teaches children about harnessing the power of energy both on and off the playing field using young sports superstars as examples to illustrates how to apply these tools to achieve dreams while providing parents with a practical roadmap to support their children along the way.

  • The Role of Resourcing in EMDR & Healing Trauma
    Sep 18 2024

Resourcing, though often overlooked, is a vital part of your healing journey in EMDR therapy. It provides you with emotional tools and coping strategies that help you feel grounded and secure as you begin to process and heal trauma. By developing positive internal "resources"—like calming visualizations, empowering memories, or sensations of safety—you can tap into your own inner strength when emotions feel overwhelming. These resources serve as anchors, helping you stay centered and in control. Whether you're in therapy or facing life's daily challenges, resourcing empowers you to reconnect with yourself, regulate your emotions, and take meaningful steps toward healing.

In this episode, we continue our discussion of EMDR with a special focus on resourcing, what it is, and how it can support those undergoing EMDR therapy or who want to regulate their emotions and respond to life challenges with a returning guest, Jen Baumgold. Jen is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist who specializes in trauma treatment. She is certified in EMDR and works with clients to help untangle the knots of trauma while finding a path toward healing and resilience. After graduating with her master's in social work, Jen began her career at the New York Fire Department counseling service unit, where she worked until 2016. During her time there, she provided crucial mental health support to FDYN members and their families.

    • “When you have been through significant trauma, it’s harder to find and draw on positive experiences on your memory and nervous system, but resourcing seeks to find, draw out and strengthen them.” [14:18]
    • “There is strength and power that come from remembering moments of triumph and doing something effectively.” [34:24]
    • “We all have these negative cognition beliefs, and when we’re struggling, they predominate our thoughts, but going to places where your body feels at ease, successful, and connected can override negative cognition.” [34:59]
