  • In this episode I tell part 1 of my academic story. Hi my name is Amma and I am the creator and host of Now College Podcast. I take a trip down memory lane to share my college experience and why I started this podcast. Before entering college, I just knew I was prepared and I knew what to expect. I am the last of four children in my family and they all went to college and graduated. In addition to this, the eldest two had graduate degrees as well as my Father, who was a professor and later on, became the chairman of his Department. I grew up around individuals in academia my whole life. Therefore, obtain a bachelors degree seemed completely conceivable. After my first semester I soon found out, I was beyond wrong. That going through any part of academia is an accomplishment and not always smooth sailing. I couldn't believe that with all that was setup for me and all of my privileges, and resources I was still ill prepared for my college experience.
