The Importance of Hair Color, Self-Funding and Attitude with Joico Artistic Educator, Mai Hernandez

  • Resumen

  • "A closed mouth doesn't get fed." Our Super Latina Mai Hernandez shares the importance of asking for what you want, reaching out to companies you want to be a part of and manifesting your dreams. Mai grew up in Venezuela where her love for styling hair was born in the salons her mother took her to. After relocating to Chicago when she was 15, she returned to her roots at her local beauty salon. Mai understood the need for representation in the hair industry and kept reaching out to Joico to address it. Her passion has led her to be one of Joico's Artistic Educator and Brand Content Creator as well as co-founder of A/M Salon, a Latina-owned beauty salon in West Hollywood, CA. Mai tells us how hair tone, a leap of faith and relationships can influence your destiny.

Here's to choosing the right tone for each one of us, figuratively and literally!
