    Jeffrey Hodgson, a 38-year-old man from Stockport, England, disappeared on July 8th, 2001, while vacationing with his parents in Ibiza. Jeffrey, who had intellectual and developmental disabilities, waited outside while his parents checked into their hotel. When they returned, he was gone.
    A large-scale search ensued, and despite reported sightings, Jeffrey remained missing for over a year. It wasn't until mountain climbers discovered his body that the case took a more puzzling turn. The location and condition in which he was found only deepened the mystery surrounding his disappearance.

After a few dates, Mieke decided not to continue seeing him, but he began stalking her and, on March 6, 2022, brutally murdered her. The case, which became widely known as the "Tinder Murder" in the Netherlands, stands out because unlike many other cases, we know what happened to Mieke, and her killer was apprehended.
