  • Episode 4: Anna Moon, Songwriter and Educator, is Creating Better Days
    Jun 20 2024
Shanna leads the discussion this week, chatting with the amazing Anna Moon, wife of country superstar Niko Moon! She is a co-writer for Niko on his new album, Better Days, and together they have founded The Happy Cowboy Foundation.

Anna Moon was diagnosed with hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC) and uterine fibroids before giving birth to their daughter back in 2020. She underwent countless tests and surgeries to make sure the gene couldn't be passed along to her child.

She now has to monitor her kidneys every six months through MRIs to keep track of any abnormalities that might appear; the cancer that can be developed through HLRCC is very aggressive, so she is very proactive. She is now a huge advocate of understanding one's genealogy to know how to best take care of their future health.

Anna discusses how she continues to find strength while handling her ongoing health issues, how she educates other women when it comes to staying in tune with their bodies, and how the family uses their music to better the world. She also talks about keeping a close look on their own child's health and family tour life balance.
