• Carving a New Path in Booking As A Country Rock Singer-Songwriter ft. Erin McAndrew (Singer-Songwriter, Booking Coach)
    Apr 6 2021

While attending Hofstra University in New York, Erin was the lead singer of the Long Island-based rock band Tiny Giant, which played the legendary CBGBs (R.I.P.) and other local venues. In this project, she was able to immerse herself in writing, recording, and performing original music. Singer/Songwriter and Cover Artist Erin McAndrew has excited crowds at concert halls, wineries, breweries, colleges, fairs, pubs, charity events, and private parties. She's mastered booking gigs at non-traditional music venues and created a system where she's been able to book dozens of gigs year after year without the help of a manager or booking agent! In June 2016, Erin released her first album of original music, Skeleton of Life. Her sophomore release, Stay Alive, was released in February 2018. And now she uses her onstage expertise to coach others on the business aspects of the industry!

Erin also hosts ROCKIN’ THRU THE GRAPEVINES, a show about her favorite wines and wineries, including wineries she has performed at. That's that episodic music brand content we're always talking about ya'll! She's living proof that solo artists can be profitable when they are clever in their strategy and regularly connect with their Superfans! Connect with Erin, below and learn more about her 'Get More Paid Gigs Self-Paced Course'!

As the conversation progressed, we attacked some of the worst habits of artists that book themselves, how to finesse a price point that you can be proud of during negotiation and why it's so important to create a booking system when you're doing it yourself! We chatted about the necessity of covers in any artists repertoire as well as the amazing doors that cover shows can open. Whether you're already a booking pro or you've never set up your first show, this MICPodcast is a great resource to get started!
