    I was introduced to Chip Bell as Chipper Bro in Santa Barbara in the early 80’s. The place, East Beach. I was a 20 something DJ on KTYD, and he was a 20 something 12 time World Champion Freestyle Frisbee Champion superstar who made a BIG life out of tossing a Frisbee and surfing. Chipper has had a remarkable career, and he's just getting started. We had not really seen each other since the early days on East Beach…flash forward to last week. We meet again at a funeral of all places. Our mutual friend Steve’s mother Ardie passed away and here we are at a Catholic mass in Southern California seeing one another for the first time in over 30 years. He looks the same maybe a little bit more gray on his crazy head of beautiful hair, but still the same Chipper Bro, positive uplifting, honest, engaging, and present in the moment. Shout out to beautiful Ardie for reconnecting us. As we sat at the luncheon in the hall after her beautiful service, I knew within two minutes I had to have Chipper Bro on the show. Kelly's popularity and celebrity in San Diego is akin to Norm from the sitcom "Cheers." Wherever she goes, people know her name, and they shout it out just to grab her attention so they can spin in her orbit for a moment of two. She credits her love of music to her father who had a giant room with just a stereo and a chair so he could listen to his records. She said he really felt his music, and it inspired her. Kelly is no stranger to death and the lasting effects of deep grief. Her beloved husband Steve passed away unexpectedly when he was only 37 years old. His death left her alone to pick up the pieces of her shattered life as a young mother of a teenager. She feels that the music saved her during her darkest time. She also knows first hand how important it is to have your affairs in order after being the executor for her beloved Aunt Donna. And lastly Kelly shared a horrific recent event that both she and her granddaughter walked away from alive and well. Kelly gave heartfelt words about living in the moment and the awareness of never really knowing what could possibly be your last day on earth. Andrea decided after receiving Reiki the first time and hearing fascinating stories to take a Reiki class. Then while she was on a trip to Egypt in 1999, her next steps became clear. She returned home and completed her Reiki training through the Master level for the first time. Today, her greatest joy is to teach all of her Reiki classes Live and Online.
