The OJTBD Podcast (EN): Our Job to be Done - Partnering for a better future

By: Johannes Ceh
  • Summary

  • We are living in turbulent times. Full of challenges: proven and beloved is being questioned. We are faced with new challenges more and more quickly: How do I deal with a "friend" scatteringhate on Facebook from one moment to the next? How do I deal with violence in a football stadium? Or that the new investor that I just proudly presented is suddenly facing sexual accusations? Challenges that can be frightening. "Our Job To Be Done" is a "social impact" initiative. In a joint dialogue, we address these questions. Look at the experiences we bring with us. What exactly scares us. "What we have to do together now" to meet these challenges. Develop impulses in an empathic, solution-oriented dialogue in order to go forward together. In addition to the podcast, we organize regular dialogue salon events and partner to build what is needed for a better future. E.g. we created the very first WIKI around covid19. Making a human difference. Especially in turbulent times.

„They murder us when we sleep and steal our jobs“ Deep uncertainty requires deep questions! the very best thing anybody can do is to start asking a lot of questions! what does AI mean? what does AI mean to me? how do i think about AI and what should i do? An inspiring dialogue driven through latest cases and giving clear advise what to do. - „Most of AI is really boring ... and mostly not visible“ „Human hands are much cheaper than robots“ - „If you just innovate without having a sense of what’s next, you probably gonna fail. AI guiding pilots in planes“ - „Organic ecosystem (US) vs. Planned ecosystem (China) ... the best way for corporations is the Hybrid model in the middle. If your organisation cares a lot about people this should be the core part of what you do“ - „Help managers and leaders understand very specifically what AI doesn’t do and do, what it isn’t and why all of this matters ... That’s the best possible thing companies can do to help“ - „Rethink yourself! This requires confronting uncertainty and constantly asking yourself about your own believes“

  • Responsible AI with Virginia Dignum
    Jul 16 2020
Artificial intelligence enables systems to make preliminary selections, categorize customer inquiries or determine who gets a loan, for example in application processes. It doesn't have to be bad. In the worst case, such systems can also have a massive impact on the everyday life of citizens, for example if governments use artificial intelligence to fully monitor and control their citizens. So how can. an ethical handling of artificial intelligence look and succeed? At the Next Conference https://nextconf.eu/ I met Professor Virginia Dignum from Delft University in the Netherlands, who gave a keynote there. In her work, she focuses on the value-oriented design of intelligent systems, especially the ethical and social effects of artificial intelligence. She was recently appointed to the European Union's high-level group of AI experts to develop recommendations for.
