  • Upside Down and Single: Coaching Handstands and Navigating Life
    Feb 25 2024

Welcome back to episode 14 of The Outspoken 30s. After a month-long hiatus, I'm back with more chatter! Today, I'm diving into my latest adventure: coaching handstands to gymnast. It's been a whirlwind of excitement and challenges, but seeing these little ones light up when they conquer a handstand makes it all worth it.

Coaching has taught me the importance of genuine conversations and setting boundaries, even if it means disappointing others occasionally. And let's not forget the ups and downs of adulting—dating woes, comparison traps, you name it. But hey, being single for six years has taught me self-love and independence.

So here's to embracing the journey, the challenges, and the occasional Irish accent after a few too many drinks. Life's too short to take ourselves too seriously, right?

    Dec 10 2023
In the 11th episode of "The Outspoken 30th," I'm back after a bit of a hiatus. Today, I've got my friend Jess with me, the person who sparked the idea for this podcast. We're both graphic designers diving into the world of design, self-employment, and life's adventures. Jess and I met ages ago, bonding over snowboarding and our shared design passion. We spill the beans on freelancing challenges, like nailing down fair prices and dealing with Canva's shadow. Then, we get real about design ethics, the struggle between inspiration and copycats, and the grind of being self-employed. We dish out on adulting too—balancing passion with paying the bills, single-income life, and juggling financial pressures across generations. Join our laid-back convo for a peek into the freelance world, design ethics, and the emotional rollercoaster of managing money.

  • High on Life and Iced Coffee
    Oct 15 2023

Welcome to the 10th episode of The Outspoken podcast. It's been a while, but life has been hectic. I'm back now, promising consistency. Since the last episode, I've had some great experiences, from nights out with friends to surfing in Cornwall. I've also started my own handstand classes, which has been both exciting and challenging. Feedback has been positive, but I still struggle to accept compliments.

In terms of fitness, my training is going well, thanks to my coach, and I've learned to prioritize experiences over strict dieting. I've also developed a love for iced coffee, which keeps me going during busy days.

I've recently discovered some handy iPhone features, like creating lists in Notes and a quicker way to type with one finger. I'm eager to bring more guests onto the podcast, so stay tuned for some interesting discussions. Thanks for tuning in!
