In the 100th episode of PKFP we look back on some of our favorite moments from the show and then dive into a discussion on the last chapter of Cress.

As Kai absorbs the news that Cinder is Princess Selene, he comes to the realization that there is more to be done to overthrow Levana. Before a plan can be formalized, a terrifying news alert shocks the rampion crew. Now Cinder has a new plan and a new title that will lead us into the final two books of the series.

As Kai and Cinder dance around their feelings, Cinder finally reveals the truth about Princess Selene, but she may not be what Kai is expecting.

We finally get to see our girl, Scarlet! She is plagued by nightmares and living in a small cage in a menagerie as a 'pet' and her future is looking bleak. She is also missing a finger, underfed, and her living conditions are subpar, to say the least.

Scarlet is visited in her cell, I mean cage, by the beautiful and strange Princess Winter. Winter comes to ask Scarlet for news of her friend, Jacin, but also has a surprise gift for her. Scarlet is hesitant to befriend Winter and even pushes her away, but Winter's gift may be the only comfort Scarlet has.

While Thorne opens up and shares his secrets with Cress, she still keeps her true feelings to herself. Cress considers the possibilities of fate and destiny and Thorne admits his limitations and lack of experiences with love.

As Levana learns of Kai’s kidnapping, she also finds out an old colleague is in the hospital. Levana and Dr. Erland have some catching up to do when Aimory enters with some interesting information about Sybil and who is responsible for kidnapping Kai.

Jacin is amused to learn Cinder’s true identity and Dr. Erland is delighted to learn of Sybil's demise. Queen Levana’s fury is unmatched at the loss of Sybil, the reveal by Dr. Erland that Cinder is Selene, and Jacin’s claims of innocence and espionage. As Dr. Erland sings himself to sleep one last time, we say our final goodbyes to Cinder’s mentor and Cress’s long-lost father.

As the rampion crew celebrates an early victory, Sybil and her entourage make a dramatic entrance that threatens to ruin their chances of survival. Cinder takes control of what she can, but it doesn't look good for our heroes. This turn of events prompts Thorne to uphold his promise to Cress.

As Cinder tries desperately to save her friends, a thought occurs to her both brilliant in its strategy and terrifying in its execution. As Cinder works her gift on Sybil, it looks like the rampion crew will finally be able to escape, safe but not unharmed.

We open with a surprising reveal of support from Konn Torin and find our protagonists rushing to meet up with Dr. Erland and Thorne in the Research Wing. Dr. Erland has now tested positive for the plague and has quarantined himself in a patient room.

As Iko learns a little more about social cues, we learn more about Dr. Erland. He has discovered something about the Lunar crown that not only changes the dynamic of the war but also changes its origin. As Dr. Erland explains his discovery, he also reveals his secret identity to Cress. But, before she has time to process this news, it is time to say Goodbye.

As the royal wedding approaches, Cinder and the gang are executing their plans to stop the cereomony and kidnap the groom. After a run in with a strange girl, we leave Cinder and Iko to see the situation from Sybils perspective. As we contemplate what Levana may have on her dating profile, a palace guard must deliver the news that the wedding has been delayed. This announcement comes with information that ignites a spark in Sybil and she excuses herself to handle the problem.

Meanwhile, Kai and Torin are waiting in their quarters for the ceremony, though they are not as bothered by the delay. A surprise visit from Cinder changes the atmosphere in the room and the conversation readers have been waiting two books for finally takes place. But before we can have a romantic moment between Cinder and Kai, reality sets in and they are once again reminded of their stations in life.
