• 105 - The Southern Rock Seacoast Worship Leader (w/ Grayson Little)
    Jul 2 2024

On today’s episode, Joey and Lynne talk with singer/songwriter, Grayson Little. Grayson grew up at Seacoast Church and has served at multiple Seacoast campuses as a worship leader, but has since pursued his music career full-time. During Joey and Lynne’s time with Grayson, they talk country and southern rock music genres, how the internet has affected the music industry, and the drastically different experience of Grayson’s Saturday night gigs at the bar and then leading worship the next morning. An American Idol contestant in 2019, Grayson shares his story of being on the show, including a significant memory of getting props from Lionel Richie. And, what would a Brandon Lake/Grayson Little tour look like? Grayson pitches the idea of touring with his long-time friend, and Joey, Lynne, and Grayson discuss the topic of compromising the artistry by “making it big.”

At the top of the episode, Joey, Lynne, and Amy talk about movies, but then go deep, all of them sharing what has sustained their faith and if any encounters with the Spirit of God helped them stand firm.

    May 21 2024

[This podcast will also air on Greg Surratt and Chip Judd's The Endurance Factor Podcast]

Pastor Chip Judd is back on the podcast to expand on his April 2024 Seacoast Church message, Boundaries: A Proven Path to Better Relationships and Less Stress. You can watch it here. During that message, he implored people to not take responsibility in areas of life in which authority hasn't been given. He gave clear and emphatic instructions on boundaries for adult children with living parents. But, some of these words caught attention on social media and received many negative comments about his words. In this episode, Chip, alongside Joey, and Pastor Greg Surratt respond to the backlash and clarify the meaning behind his words.
