    May 16 2022

The Sydney Sentinel's Travis de Jonk explore's the week's top stories on sydneysentinel.com.au.

OUR SPECIAL GUEST ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK is Michael Williams - the artistic director of the Sydney Writers' Festival. We first spoke with Williams on the speakeasy last year in 2021 when he navigated Sydney Writers' Festival through the pandemic landscape to produce a brilliant 2021 festival. LISTEN to that interview here.

The Sydney Writers' Festival returns this year from 16 to 22 May 2022 - bigger, more engaging and politically charged than ever - with an equally bold theme: ‘Change My Mind’

Michael Williams joined us recently in the studio to discuss how the festival fared last year, tell us all about the exciting Sydney Writers' Festival 2022 program and to explain what the festival theme - Change My Mind - is really all about. He also gives us his event highlight picks that are not to be missed.

  • Season 3, episode 12: Will Tregoning - Unharm.org
    May 2 2022

The Sydney Sentinel's Travis de Jonk explore's the week's top stories on sydneysentinel.com.au.

OUR SPECIAL GUEST ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK is Will Tregoning - the founder of Unharm - an organisation spearheading drug law and policy reform in NSW and Australia. We last spoke to Will about a year ago - he returns to update us on movements in the organisation, as well as recent polling by Unharm revealing dramatic transformations in public attitudes about drugs, policing and policy.

Of particular interest are some points he offers regarding drugs in Australia and why reform and revision is so necessary - in context of the looming federal election which has sucked out all the oxygen from many pressing social issues and policy areas affecting our society.
