    Josh Lobley

This week, I’m excited to have Josh Lobley, one half of Shropshire's popular duo, The Shire-ish Rover, on the show. We discuss his incredible talent, what drives his passion, the evolution of how we consume music, and how our tastes change over time.

Josh shares the challenges of performing in rowdy pubs and moving essential equipment between venues. He even brought his guitar to play "What I Miss," this year's theme song, which perfectly captures where I am in life right now.

Follow Josh and The Shire-ish Rovers on Instagram, and be sure to catch one of their shows for a great night:

  • Season Charlie: Hannah Fraser - H Fraser Consulting
    Sep 16 2024

This episode explores science that couldn't be more relevant to a town like Shrewsbury, which has such an intriguing relationship with the River Severn. I am speaking with Hannah Fraser from H Fraser Consulting about hydrogeology, the study of how water moves through rock.

Hannah has a fascinating story about how she started with geology and then transitioned to hydrogeology. I especially enjoyed our discussion about work ethics. Hannah describes how she has built a company where her employees are empowered to grow and thrive in their roles.

I learned so much from this episode, and I'm sure you will too. If you want to learn more about what H Fraser Consulting does, please check out their website here: https://www.hfraserconsulting.co.uk/

  • Season Charlie: Charlie Adlard - Coffee Shop
    Sep 12 2024

We’re kicking off Season Charlie of The Shrewsbury Biscuit with the fantastic Charlie Adlard as our first guest.

Recorded at House Coffee in Coleham, a favourite spot of mine, we dive into Charlie's new project: "Coffee Shop." This book, distinct from his usual comic work, features sketches of people in local coffee shops, capturing everyday moments in Shrewsbury.

Charlie’s book not only showcases his artistic skills but also supports a great cause. All proceeds will go to The Hive, a Shrewsbury charity that helps young people develop their artistic talents. The Hive is currently in need of support, and Charlie aims to use this book to aid its preservation.
