  • Jon Roesser, General Manager of Weavers Way, shares the story of how a group of neighbors from the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, opened Weaver's Way Co-op in 1973.

    The Pandemic showed us the fragility of the conventional food system of this country. And almost 50 years after Weavers Way opened, there is still more work to be done: taking care of ourselves, our family and our community starts with prioritizing our local food system.

    Weavers Way works with more local vendors than any other store in the area, and now you can order your food for delivery by downloading the Mercato App or by visiting one of our stores in Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, and Ambler.
