  • Character Matters
    May 2 2024
We live in a day and age where everyone's "best self" is portrayed in the public eye (aka your image). Your character is who you actually are. What you do/how you act/what you think about when no one else is around is your character. Is your character one that is after God's heart? We dive into the life of David and learn about aspects of his character that made him a man after God's own heart.

  • Daniel and the Lion's Den
    Mar 28 2024

This is an attempt to revisit some of the common children's stories from the Bible. In this case the story of Daniel and the lion's den is an invitation to: consider the pain of exile, imagine what it would look like to prosper in exile, and believe in the power of God to deliver us from evil/death.

    Questions:

    1. Have you ever heard this story before? If so, what stood out to you that you either hadn't heard before or didn't remember?

    2. Has anyone ever found themselves in a painful place they never could have imagined being? Is anyone in that place now? Would anyone be willing to share their experience?

    3. Is it possible to experience prosperity in the midst of pain? How does Daniel's story show us the way?

    4. Is there anything in your life that seems unchangeable that you hope will change? How are you trusting God with that?

    5. This week Christians all over the world will celebrate Easter. Are there any parallels between the story of Daniel and the story of Jesus?

  • God Is For Our Enemies
    Feb 29 2024

Loving our enemies is not natural. If we are being honest, most of us, like Jonah, deal with intolerance, legalism & self-righteousness towards our enemies instead. What if we truly believed God is for our enemies? He wants to bring them back into a relationship with him just as much as he wants a relationship with us.
