  • Recently I was complaining to my personal men’s group about being tired, about being disappointed in the ambivalence in some of the men I work with and men in general aren’t interested in self-development, and just uninterested in anything other than sex, sports and video games. I’ve been doing men’s work for almost 20 years both as a participant and a leader. Quite frankly, I was tired, burnt out, and not seeing the fruits of my labor, at least in my expectations. I was contemplating giving it all up and retiring to become an artist.


    One of my brothers brought out what we refer to in our group as the sacred dick and slapped me in the face with it.
