We look at why they didn't want any of the counsel of the Lord and the effect that, that produced in their lives. We also look at why didn't want His reproof either, to the point where they even despised it. We don't want that to be our story, so we look at how we can avoid falling into the same trap as we continue to embrace and obey His counsel and reproof.

We then look at why they wouldn't choose the fear of the Lord and the implications of that decision.There's a lot that we can learn from this verse about embracing knowledge and making our priority the fear of the Lord.

We look at what we can learn from this verse for our own lives, so that we can understand the importance of calling upon the name of the Lord and making our search for Him a priority.

Today because we've chosen Jesus and our Savior and accepted His gift of wisdom, we're free from what these men faced.

There's a lot we can learn from this verse about the importance of accepting and embracing the Lord's counsel and correction, knowing that He desires the best for us.

We're all called to accept the call of God to have and operate in wisdom.
