• EP 9: Ripping Off the Band-Aid
    Jul 6 2024

    I ripped off the band-aid and finally hit record on this episode. Yay!

    It's very riff-like in nature - it was the only way I felt this episode was ever going to get recorded. There's no intro or outro, but it's here and I love it!

    This episode went in a few different directions, and truthfully it took me a little while to warm-up...but bear with me as I hit record, decided not to do any editing, so what you're hearing is the raw copy. AND, I actually really like it.

    In this solo episode I share:

    • Why I had to press pause on my podcast last year;
    • What my intention is moving forward:
    • Why we need to rip off the band-aid;
    • A very short insight into my year unplugged - which I'll be breaking down in future episodes: and
    • a whole lot more.

  • E8: Unplugged with Sussana Christine - Menstrual Awareness and Cyclical Living
    Sep 6 2023

    If you menstruate or know someone who menstruates, today's episode about menstrual awareness and cyclical living is for you.

    In today's episode my guest, Sussana Christine opens the space and conversation around menstrual aware and cyclical living. In her work as a Menstrual Cycle Coach she supports people who menstruate to create a deeper connection, awareness and understanding of their menstruating body and changing cyclical needs, so that they may embrace and embody a cyclical experience that works for them.

    The work Sussana is doing in this space can mean the difference between someone experiencing cyclical empowerment or cyclical shame - and while we have access to information at our fingertips, there’s nothing quite like having someone, such as Sussana, supporting, guiding, and coaching people who menstruate at any stage of their cyclical journey.

    In this unplugged conversation we chat about:

    - Sussana's menstrual journey and how it motivated and inspired her down the path to becoming a Menstrual Cycle Coach;

    - Our first periods, and how her work with tweens, through First Moon Circles, is an empowering alternative to traditional period education;

    - The importance of our maternal lineage, and the way stories/beliefs around menstruation are passed down;

    - The 4-phases of a menstrual cycle and how you can track your own cycle in a way that works for you; AND so much more.

    This episode will invite you to reflect on your own menstrual journey, and have a better understanding of those who are on they own, unique menstrual experience too.

    I absolutely loved our conversation and I hope you do too.

    When it comes to HR do you think about the department upstairs that deals with contracts and complaints?

    Well my friend, you are not alone.

    In today’s episode, my guest Hayley McLennan, will shift the way you see, think about and approach HR. We'll learn that there's way, way more to HR than crossing T's and dotting the I's, and how you can become your own HR rep.

    Hayley is a Career and Life Coach with a big splash of HR Coaching thrown in working with heart-centred, values-led people who are wanting to re-connect and re-discover themselves, to live a life of deep fulfilment and work in a career connected to their passions and purpose.

    In this unplugged conversation we chat about:

    • HR - how you can become your own HR rep, the future of HR and Hayley’s unique way of incorporating HR coaching into your business;

    • Human Design - how tapping into her Generator design has supported Hayley in her life and biz; and

    • Living life unplugged - how Hayley shifted her relationship with social media after participating in my signature coaching program, Becoming Unplugged, and the ripple-effect it’s having.

    This episode will invite you to get curious about how you’re future-proofing your business, the way you see HR, and just how important it is to connect back into our own values so we can do life in a way that lights us up and works for us. It's definitely made me think about how I'm approaching business, even at this very early stage and what I can do moving forward.

  • E4: An Unplugged Conversation With My Sister, Te Rehia/Teresa :-)
    Jul 11 2023

    This was a really cool, fun, explorative, unplugged conversation where I got to ask my sister, Te Rehia/Teresa questions I've never asked, and speak about topics we've never spoken about.

    In this episode we talk about:

    - the impact of our names

    - family dynamics

    - being an Aunty, friend and daughter

    - the expectations we place on our parents

    - there's also a point to ponder (my sister tried to make it as succinct as possible...it'll make sense when you listen in)

    ...and a whole lot more.

    You'll get an inside peek as to what it's like to listen in on our conversation. It also made us realise we need to carve out more time for conversations like this, that go deeper than the surface level day-to-day chats. My sister Te Rehia is the youngest of 6, she’s a logistics, planning, organising, event throwing, future-thinking, ideas extraordinaire, living on Wadawurrung Country in Victoria, Australia. She has two fur-children Donald and Elvis ( well actually being Chinese Crested doggos they don’t have fur), and if your children are fortunate enough to call her “Aunty Te” you better bet she’s the best one there is.

    So without further ado, I would love you to meet my sister, Te Rehia (a.k.a Teresa Trucano).

    Thank you for tuning in and I hope you enjoy this episode.

    Until next time, here's to living life unplugged...your way.

  • E2: Unplugging from FOMO (a.k.a The Fear of Missing Out)
    Jun 13 2023

    FOMO is one of THE most challenging areas my clients, and many people I've spoken to, experience whenever they speak about their social media use. If you can relate to this, then today's episode is for you.

    One of the key takeaways I want to focus on in this episode is that:

    FOMO will not fill your cup.

    In today’s episode I’ll be sharing:

    ~ what FOMO is;

    ~ how it might be showing up for you; and

    ~ ways you can get the ball rolling to give FOMO the flick.

    Enjoy and thank you for tuning-in.

    Until next time, here's to living life unplugged...your way.
