    On this episode of the Upstate Golf Guys Podcast, we decide to bring the studio on the road to the beautiful Crumpin Fox in Bernardston, Mass. where we had a Golfweek Tour event. We stayed overnight because we had an early Sunday morning tee time and thought it would be fun to record a podcast out there, and it certainly was fun! We invite Tom "Hollywood" Mayone AKA Paulie Pro shop on the show. Tom is a staple member to the Golfweek Am Tour and is family to all of us. If you all remember Paulie Pro shop from the Cape Cod trip, he's a little whacky, but we can't get enough of him! On top of being absolutely hilarious, Tom is a scratch golfer who can hit the shit out of the ball...We love talking golf with Tom, he knows his stuff... Scrounge had the VR head set on the whole time and was playing VR golf. Describing the game play and what he saw. I will tell ya what. VR is the future. It's some wild stuff! Scrounge had a little situation where we all almost had to evacuate. It was so bad, but we still love you Scroungy... Golf course architect Mark Mungeam of Mungeam Golf Design sits down with us and gives us his take of the beautiful Frear Park and his most recent work here in Upstate NY... We also invite special guest, the man with the green thumb. The GOAT golf course superintendent, Greg Tudor! Greg comes back to the Upstate Golf Guys Podcast as a return guest, but this time he gets to chat with his good friend Mark as they discuss the hole-by-hole renovations that the worked on together. Exact words by Mark Mungeam as we were texting prior to the Podcast recording. "Greg is a star! He makes me look good. Frear Park is fortunate to have him" and he hit the nail on the head! we sure are lucky to have him and the rest of the crew over there at the park. We really appreciate all you do Greg!!! Finally, we briefly went into some of the Cape Cod courses Mark designed and some he oversaw construction on. Some we are very very familiar with! It is pretty cool hearing all the courses Mark was a part of out at the Cape, since our thing is #518golfsthecape and we are shooting for that #questfor50 a bucket list the Upstate Golf Guys have to golf all 50 courses on the Cape! (Including private courses) I snuck a question in on Mark. "Hey Mark, any connections at Eastward HO"?     On this week's Golfweek Spotlight we had a lot to talk about. To start off we had some great battles this week at Capital Hills! Including another playoff in C flight. The story of the week was the round of the year from Matt Grayson, he shot a cool 80 which iss extremely impressive for a D flight golfer. I played with Matt and all I can say the guy's putter was on fire, everything dropped for the guy! He even said at one point "This is fucking ridiculous" as a 30 footer dropped. Adam broke down the slope ratings and the scores to help it all make more sense to us. We also discussed the next 2-day major. The Upstate Golf Guys Podcast Major at the Ranch. July 20th and 21st.
