  • Making big decisions (how do ya?)
    Aug 22 2024

Have you ever had a difficult time making a decision? I used to worry myself over every little decision I had to make…everything from what to order on a menu to where to go shopping for groceries. I was a worry-wart of the worst kind. (Say that ten times fast.)

Over the years, through great counsel, Biblical principles, and much trial and error, I’ve learned that making decisions, big or small, doesn’t have to be something excruciating or worrisome. God tells us not to worry but to seek Him instead.

In this episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast we’re talking about Making Big Decisions. Humor, Biblical principles, stories and testimony all in one place. • The wrong way to do the right thing
    Aug 9 2024

Have you ever tried to do the right thing, only to realize later that you probably went about it the wrong way? Sometimes it takes us learning the same lesson over and over again before it sticks; especially when it comes to trying to help others. In our care, concern, and passion, sometimes we go about giving that help in the wrong way, making the situation worse.

In this episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast, we’re paving the podcast with talk of good intentions gone wrong. How do you deal with your zeal to help someone living a life that’s not good for them? How do you keep from pushing them further away from the right path? And just as important, is it your job to try to even try to put them in the right place? With Biblical examples of Jesus’ love and zeal for His sheep, real-life examples and understanding, this episode digs into it “the wrong way to do the right thing.”

  • What to do when you lose your cool
    Aug 2 2024

I heard a quote not long ago that resonated with me. “You know wisdom has settled into your soul when you can be confronted with just about anything and never lose your cool.” – anonymous

In today’s culture, losing your cool isn’t just the norm; in some ways, it’s even glorified. Losing your cool means losing composure and letting anger get the best of you. We all do it. None of us can escape it but we can learn to control it. James 1:19-20 says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”

In this episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast we’re talking about being Christ-like in our anger; what to do when we feel like we’re going to lose our cool, AND what to do if we’ve already lost our cool. With encouragement, personal testimony, a bit of humor and Biblical truths, this episode is all about rushing to anger, and learning how not to lose our cool.

  • God's not done with you yet!
    Jul 26 2024

“God’s not done with you yet!”

Have you ever felt like God’s forgotten you? Or as if everything you felt called to do amounted to little or nothing? Perhaps you’ve felt under-appreciated, ignored, or dismissed for how you’ve tried to serve the Lord, and help others. If so, you’re not alone. But take heart because the Bible has something to say about that. The work you’re doing is not your work, it’s God’s work. You were called by Him and He’s not done with you yet. If you’re still breathing, He has a reason. If you’ve got a pulse, you have a purpose. Those aren’t just nice quotes and tag lines to put on a magnet on your fridge, they’re the truth.

In the latest episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast we’re talking about purpose, passion, and God continuing the good work in you that He started.

  • Forgiveness is healthier than unforgiveness
    Jul 12 2024

In the latest episode of The Woman Inspired Podcast we’re talking about how unforgiveness affects your health. Science has caught up with what the Bible already told us, we should forgive!

Karen Swartz, MD. Director of the Mood Disorders Adult Consultation Clinic at The Johns Hopkins hospital is quoted on the Johns Hopkins website as saying, “Research determined that there is an enormous physical burden to hanging on to anger. Unforgiveness can make you sick. Chronic anger and unforgiveness puts you in constant fight or flight mode which results in numerous changes in heart rate, blood pressure and immune response. Those changes then increase the risk of depression, heart disease, and diabetes among other conditions. Forgiveness however calms stress levels which leads to improved health.”

The Word of God gives us gems like Ephesians 4:32 for a reason. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” If it’s in the Word of God, it’s there for a reason. Is it easy to apply? No. Impossible to do? No. If God has asked us to do it, He will help us make a way.

In this episode, titled “Forgiveness is healthier than unforgiveness” we’re talking about spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health and how unforgiveness affects us.
