  • Hello, my name is Thomas J. Bellezza, and welcome to The Write Mindset. The short, short version: for ten years I've been a script doctor and story consultant, helping writers get their thoughts organized onto the page by outlining, writing, or guiding them. Since the 90's, I've been in the entertainment industry, writing my own scripts, novels, poetry, music, and lyrics for a living.

    Podcast Mission:

    To educate writers on the craft of writing through my knowledge of how I was taught, learned, and currently teach my clients. My focus is on narrative, outlining, brainstorming, and both character and plot development in general, which can be applied to novels or scripts.

    A secondary aspect of this channel will be analyzing (and reviewing) films (new and old), novels, and occasionally there will be interviews with writers to get their insight on the craft of writing.

    My tertiary goals will be to elaborate on the business of writing.

Collins wrote her first book in 2020. This work, Paganism for Prisoners, won the Coalition of Visionary Resources (COVR) gold award in 2021. After publishing her second book the following year, Collins moved to London to earn her MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis on fiction. She has since written her third book, 111 Magic, which is scheduled for release this year. She has contributed to two anthologies and written several magazine articles, most notably for Spirituality and Health Magazine and Witchology, and appeared briefly on the BBC. When she is not writing, Collins teaches creative writing classes, hosts workshops, and does media and public speaking engagements for audiences of all ages. Her free time is spent beekeeping and exploring historical sites throughout Europe.     Dawn Reno Langley has written extensively for newspapers and magazines, published more than 30 books (children’s books, novels such as The Mourning Parade (Amberjack, 2017), and nonfiction), dozens of award-winning short stories, essays, and poems in journals such as Hunger Mountain, The Missouri Review, The Oklahoma Review, The Provo Canyon Review, and Superstition Review, as well as hundreds of articles, theater reviews, and blogs for national and global publications. A Fulbright scholar and TedX speaker with an MFA in Fiction from Vermont College and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from The Union Institute and University, Langley lives in North Carolina but travels the world with her husband. Her latest book, You Are Divine: A Search for the Goddess in All of Us (Llewellyn) was released nationally and internationally in January 2022. Her latest novel, Analyzing the Prescotts, is set to release in January, 2024 from Black Rose Writing. Currently, she is working on a new fictional trilogy called The Art of Rivers, a historical saga about an interracial couple’s relationship during the 1960s-1980s.

    As an editor and book coach, Langley has assisted writers from all over the world to publish their work. She believes strongly that a partnership exists when an editor works in partnership with a writer, and she proudly supports the many writers who now sell their books to readers everywhere.
