Also hits on Vans Women's Combi, quick wrap up on Vans, 'Get On Board: A celebration of Women's Skateboarding' the show I curated, MC'd and was moderator for. A vien that I started that show off with was a quote from Michelle Tafoya, as we also honor international women's day ( a bit delayed). "I never went into it [the business] thinking 'I'm a female sports reporter'. I just went into it thinking 'I'm a sports reporter'. No chip on the shoulder, no feeling like a victim when you walk in, no feeling entitled when you walk in. You've just got to do your job and work extremely hard. I think it's very basic. There's no magic to it. I think honestly it comes down to how badly do you want it. How hard are you willing to work?" Former pro snowboarder, TV & Radio personality, MC, Find Your Going & Currentcy Podcast, former co-owner of Grenade Gloves, “The Adventures of Danny and the Dingo”. He’s a mentor as well, originally from Australia. This 33 year old is a one of a kind personality whom seems to truly impact all on his path with his contagious positivity, sharing his soul, experience and some amazing inspiration. “He is one of the first people I’ve ever been friends with that I’ve always felt completely comfortable being myself around.     Desiree welcomed Pep Williams, Dogtown Skateboarder and renowned photographer at the Dash Radio studios where his work form Offset is still on display and a special re-air of Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor. From his first shoot onto runways to Offset, and everywhere in between. In addition, two amazing images which will be going up for sale, before he destroys the files. QB Tyrod Tayler; since his arrival to the Chargers, I have been impressed with his ability on the field, his work ethic and the way he carries himself. I had a few minutes to speak with him. On this day, he was the last one off the field as he continued to do sprints and his own training way after everyone had left the field, personifying what I have taken note of. Stay tuned for continued designated LA Chargers interviews as I hope to continue to be able to bring these to you on a weekly basis.     Desiree welcomed Dashawn Jordan at the Dash Radio studios for the Desiree SHOW on July 15th. Dashawn obviously a phenomenal talent on his board, with character, an unparalleled work ethic and graciousness so much that he has been compared to HOFer to be, WR Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals. We talked about Chandler Park to moving to LA to world wide travel and recognition, he is seeded 5th as of July 15th in the world in street. And yet a test to his character he continues to ride for his hometown shop, Cowtown Skateboards. “What is going to do about getting that kickflip right  (Sinclair) Sinclair approved lol” Talks about blowing up Chase Gabor’s phone to lotion time his lazer flips and a lot more, as well as a new board sponsor ( keep your eyes open for the official released and announcement) which is a perfect fit! I mention it often but its is so awesome to get to know people better, I feel blessed to know Dashawn, truly such an amazing human! Thanks to Andy Levy, Jagger Eaton, Chase Gabor, Trent Martin and Mike Sinclair. ( and Neal Mims who helped me get the quote from Jagger in China.     Thankfully welcomed Jim Gray in studio on July 9, 2019. My deepest apologies for the delay, my computer crashed, Iost all my contacts and login info, locked out of back up drives, photoshop, And ended up in urgent care ( which kept me from being able to use my right hand for a week ) plus 2 family emergencies (And thats the short list) All is good now on all counts and I am playing catchup for you all, thanks again for your patience, understanding and continued support! Jim and I spoke about a lot of things; California Earthquakes, G&S, Blockhead, Acme, TWS days.....history, laughs, stickers, making boards, entertainment ....Murdy park, being a senior Olympian and of course shenanigans ! Thanks to Malcomn Watson, Steve Saiz and Jason Rothmeyer for some fun stories. . . And much thanks to Jim! Blessed to know him since early 90’s. And thanks to Wave Soda for allowing me to share.
