  • Taner Hassan: Self Acceptance Transcends Self Improvement Every Time

    You know we love a sober psychotherapist on the podcast, so it's no surprise that we had to get on Celebrity Therapist and Performance Coach Taner Hassan.

    Taner is a counsellor, psychotherapist and addiction specialist. He's worked in mental health for over 15 years across the NHS and privately, helping people from all walks of live better understand and navigate their emotions. Taner himself has had a very interesting life, growing up in an Irish/Cypriot family and longed for stardom, which led him down an interesting path full of drugs and booze. Now 17 years sober, Taner has a wealth of knowledge around Sobriety which he shares with all on his social media.

    In this episode, the three get deep into the science of the brain, better understanding the effects of addiction and alcohol abuse, as well as sharing stories about how they eventually stepped away from the naughty stuff.

    Jamies back from down under and the boys have invited our first ever guest back on the podcast - singer and songwriter RØRY - BUT this time, she is accompanied by her sober husband, Richard!

    Richard Pink and Roxanne Emery (RØRY) are the couple behind @ADHD_Love on social media. Their videos have been watched over 200 million times! And they aim to break the stigma around ADHD by giving tips for better communication and finding happiness despite life's challenges. The couple are also both sober! And share their experiences of cutting alcohol and substance from their lives and the impact that had on their blossoming relationship.
