This is the fifth book in the series. Ben and Wanda Davis are building their lives with their son, little Ben. They are entrepreneurs in Fairville, Georgia, working in Cognito as humanitarians to support the last, the least, and the lost. Ben continues to lead by faith, making God his top priority, while focusing on his family and businesses. He serves as a leader while guiding his siblings to discover all that God has saved for them. As tragedies occur, the family is faced with the reality of hatred and natural disaster. Ben steps up to connect the community while sparing no expense to restore what has been destroyed. This book series is not only heartwarming, but family focused. It is biblically sound with life lessons and pearls of wisdom. It is also a great educational resource for teenagers and adults.

Living Life with Blinders On: Living Life As God Intended by Dr. Julius Mosley II

People, in general, seem to not focus on the most important thing in life. We have a tendency to not care about life after death, even though we have been urged to seek first the kingdom of God and his Righteousness.

Living Life with Blinders On is a book to awaken people about life after death and remind them that physical death is not the end of it but rather the beginning of your eternal existence. God has given us choices to make while we are alive. But after physical death, those choices are gone forever. The book is to serve as a warning of the impending JUDGEMENT that is waiting for everyone who has ever lived on this earth.. without exception!!!

The book is intended to help understand why people are the way that we are because we have inherited a cursed nature, and it is totally impossible to please God with a cursed nature. It is one thing to be religious, but it is another thing to be "born again."

Dr. Julius Mosley II was born and raised in St. Petersburg Florida. He graduated from Florida A&M University and attended Howard University Dental School where he obtained his Dental degree. He was a Dental Officer at Travic Air Force Base in California during Vietnam War. He is a practicing dentist for over 40 years, a husband of 37 years to his beautiful wife and a father of three adult children.

He is also the ministry head of evangelism and discipleship for over 20 years at his local fellowship, of which he is a member. When he was a fourth-grader, he wanted to find the reason for his existence. He could not accept the fact that he had been created and allowed to live and then exist anymore. His second desire was to become a dentist so he could help people. He accomplished both. He learned how to receive eternal life and to share this very important information with others while giving God the glory for all he has done.

  • Episode 3081: HIS MAJESTY'S AIRSHIP: THE LIFE AND TRAGIC DEATH OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST FLYING MACHINE by S. C. Gwynne
    Aug 26 2024

His Majesty's Airship: The Life and Tragic Death of the World's Largest Flying Machine by S. C. Gwynne

From the bestselling author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist Empire of the Summer Moon comes a stunning historical tale of the rise and fall of the world’s largest airship—and the doomed love story between an ambitious British officer and a married Romanian Princess at its heart.

The tragic story of the British airship R101—which went down in a spectacular hydrogen-fueled fireball in 1930, killing more people than died in the Hindenburg disaster seven years later—has been largely forgotten. In His Majesty’s Airship, historian S.C. Gwynne resurrects it in vivid detail, telling the epic story of great ambition gone terribly wrong.

Airships, those airborne leviathans that occupied center stage in the world in the first half of the twentieth century, were a symbol of the future. R101 was not just the largest aircraft ever to have flown and the product of the world’s most advanced engineering—she was also the lynchpin of an imperial British scheme to link by air the far-flung areas of its empire from Australia to India, South Africa, Canada, Egypt, and Singapore. No one had ever conceived of anything like this. R101 captivated the world. There was just one problem: beyond the hype and technological wonders, these big, steel-framed, hydrogen-filled airships were a dangerously bad idea.

Gwynne’s chronicle features a cast of remarkable—and often tragically flawed—characters, including Lord Christopher Thomson, the man who dreamed up the Imperial Airship Scheme and then relentlessly pushed R101 to her destruction; Princess Marthe Bibesco, the celebrated writer and glamorous socialite with whom he had a long affair; and Herbert Scott, a national hero who had made the first double crossing of the Atlantic in any aircraft in 1919—eight years before Lindbergh’s famous flight—but who devolved into drink and ruin. These historical figures—and the ship they built, flew, and crashed—come together in a grand tale that details the rocky road to commercial aviation written by one of the best popular historians writing today.

    About the Author

S.C. Gwynne is the author of Hymns of the Republic and the New York Times bestsellers Rebel Yell and Empire of the Summer Moon, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. He spent most of his career as a journalist, including stints with Time as bureau chief, national correspondent, and senior editor, and with Texas Monthly as executive editor. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife.
