    I’m Dr. Angela Mazza, D.O., a thyroid, endocrine, and metabolism specialist with a private practice in Central Florida. My goal for this podcast is to define and demystify the thyroid gland, and thyroid-related medical conditions. By providing information in an easy-to-understand format, we hope to help patients better understand the ways in which their bodies work, and to help them thrive.

    Here’s some of what we covered today, not necessarily in this order:

    · The potential benefits of in-home (and in-facilty) care services;

    · Why families and patients may resist seeking in-home assistance;

    · How hard it can be to care for a patient in the home without assistance;

    · How all the care-givers can work together as a team to accomplish care goals;

    · And best of all, we learned that we CAN impact our thyroid health!

By providing information in an easy-to-understand format, we hope to help patients better understand the ways in which their bodies work, and to help them thrive. My goal is to help us live more fulfilling lives by taking control of our health, to feel our best.

    I do this podcast to provide life-saving education and encourage patients to see a doctor in time to prevent or minimize damage. That’s deeply fulfilling. I enjoy helping folks understand how all aspects of their lives are tied to both thyroid and overall health. That’s why I went into endocrinology. It’s a medical art that combines science with the study of our lives—and all that they encompass.

    · Different types of diabetes and Type 1 explained;

    · Typical symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes;

Very helpful

Dont give up listening d/ t awkward presentation during the initial episodes. This podcast is Slow to start, but after the first episodes, the presenters become more comfortable and more enjoyable to listen to. Also, The info presented is well organized - distilling complex biological dynamics as pleasantly as possible for anyone dealing with thyroid disorders. Healthcare providers and non-healthcare individuals alike will learn from this podcast.
