    Creatives' Co-Bill ft. Anh Thai and Leah Wrenne - May '24

    In this episode, Scott is joined by Jarrett, Leah Wrenne, and Anh Thai to talk about the Creatives’ Concert Co-Bill event that featured the two guest artists and Emma Nissen. The event was hosted at The Story Factory PHL on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024.

    The episode begins with telling the backstory of the success of previous Concerts, reaching out to Emma Nissen, and why the team chose to do three artists instead of the usual two. The conversation continues by sharing the story of how a friend’s generosity opened the door for the event to even happen.

    In the middle of the episode, Jarrett shares about the promotional campaign that predated the show itself and some of the advances we made on the production side.

    Towards the second half of the episode, we talk mostly about the day of the event, focusing heavily on each of the artists’ sets. As we wrap up the episode, the crew chats about how the event impacted Leah and Anh and encouraged them in their individual journeys as singer-songwriters. We hope you enjoy this episode!

    Refresh Conference - April '24

    In this episode, Scott is joined by Jarrett and first-time guest Meghan DeHaven to talk about InFaith’s annual conference called “Refresh.” The three-day conference took place at a camp located just outside of San Francisco, California. The event took place April 22nd-April 24th, 2024.

    Meg and her husband Mike DeHaven are both on staff with InFaith and are responsible for leading Refresh. Scott had the unique opportunity to be one of the speakers for this year’s conference.

    This unique episode focuses mainly on the decade-long ministry relationship between Megs and Scott. They share how they first met and subsequently, multiple stories where their shared passion to reach young people have overlapped.

    In the episode, the trio talks a lot about the Breakaway Middle School Retreat which is also led by Meg and Mike DeHaven each fall. Jarrett joins the convo mainly through the lens of the Breakaway Retreat.

    At the very end of the episode, Scott & Meg talk about the Refresh conference hosted in California. There is quite a bit of focus on empowering young people and how God moved throughout the event.

    Creatives' Gallery - Nomads - April '24

    In this episode, Scott is joined by Jarrett, Emily, and first-time guest Terry Bridges to talk about our sixth Creatives’ Gallery event. The event featured Terry’s fashion collection entitled “Nomads” under his brand TRTL Collective. The event took place on April 9th, 2024 at The Story Factory.

    The episode begins with Terry sharing about his brand TRTL and what inspired him to begin a career in fashion. Emily also shares briefly about why she chose Terry to be the next featured artist.

    Near the halfway point of the episode, we talk exclusively about the night of the event. We talked a lot about the flow of this particular event and who helped make each of those elements happen successfully.

    As we’re wrapping up the episode we discuss the ways the event impacted specific people who came to attend and how Terry was impacted as well. We hope you enjoy!

    In this episode, Scott is joined by DJ Ant G and first-time guest Gary Grecco to talk about the Breakaway Youth Conference hosted March 3rd-5th, 2024. The three-day event took place at the Ocean City Maryland Convention Center and was hosted by various Youth for Christ chapels led by Gary Grecco and his team.

    We start the episode with Gary giving a bit of his own testimony and story which includes the history of the Breakaway Conference. We also talked about how Ripe Creatives connected to YFC and the value of the relationship over the last few years.

    Towards the middle of the episode we talk specifically about this year’s event and focus mostly on Diomer and Doc Hero’s joint artist sets throughout the weekend. We also give flowers to the worship crew, comedian, painter, and speakers who filled out the program team for 2024.

    As we’re wrapping up Gary gives his perspective about what he’s seen from our crew over the years and why he’s committed to partnering together on future youth events in our region. We hope you enjoy today’s episode.

    Pass the Mic Part 3 - January '24

    In this episode, Scott is joined by Greg Snow, Gabriel Angrand, and Sergine Citerme for the final episode of the “Pass The Mic” Ripe Poetry Tour mini-series. The tour ran from January 17th-20th, 2024 and included four Pennsylvania stops in Harrisburg, Indiana, New Castle, and Philadelphia respectively. This episode focuses on the last stop of the tour (Philadelphia) on January 20th, 2024. Parts one and two of this “three-part episode” are out now as well.

    The episode begins picking up right where we left off in part 2 with the trip from New Castle back to Philly. Scott shares some of the challenges that were going on within his family as the team split up to drive separately back home to Philly.

    Throughout the early part of the episode the team talks about other challenges related to one of the Local Spotlights needing to cancel due to a concussion, navigating logistical concerns for the in-building location for the show, and the excitement we all shared to welcome Jayla (Miss Spoken Poet) back for the final stop.

    In the latter parts of the episode, the team focuses on the show itself. Again we talk at length about the open mic to begin the show & we also focus in on the musical local spotlight, the Ripe Artist trio, everso. We chat mainly about Jayla's performances, our set overall, and the worship/altar call we did to close the event.

    In this episode, Scott is joined by Greg Snow, Gabriel Angrand. and Sergine Citerme for part two of the “Pass The Mic” Ripe Poetry Tour mini-series. The tour ran from January 17th-20th, 2024, and included four Pennsylvania stops in Harrisburg, Indiana, New Castle, and Philadelphia respectively. This episode focuses on the two middle stops of the tour (Indiana & New Castle) on January 18th-19th, 2024. Part one of this “three-part episode” is out now too!

    The episode begins picking up right where we left off in part 1 with the trip from Harrisburg to Indiana, PA. The team shares about the open mic, Sam Jam’s feature in Indiana, and AVG hitting a different level in his performance. There are a bunch of individual stories about interactions after the show as well.

    In the final half of the episode, the team focuses on our time in New Castle, PA for our third event of the tour on Friday, Jan 19th. Again we talk about the open mic to begin the show and the local spotlight, Patrick Connor. We also discussed the panel discussion pivot we decided to do to wrap up the experience.

The tour ran from January 17th-20th, 2024, and included four Pennsylvania stops in Harrisburg, Indiana, New Castle, and Philadelphia consecutively. This first of three episodes about the tour focuses on the Harrisburg event on January 17th, 2024.

    The episode begins with us giving a full backstory of what led to the team deciding to embark on the tour. We also spent some time sharing about Jayla “Miss Spoken Poet” being unable to be a part of the first few shows due to family circumstances.

    The conversation continues by focusing on the Harrisburg event specifically. We highlight the amazing relationship with the venue Center Street Grille. We also talk through how the open mic, local spotlight Keith Snow, and our team’s featured set went.
