    Episode #9

You are listening to Top 3 Network the podcast with your host Logan and co-hosts Luke and Danyal.

In this episode of Top 3 Network the Podcast we will be sharing a story about a day in the life of a tennis player.

    Segment 1: Introduction

In our final episode of the podcast, we are talking about something a little bit different. Instead of Luke and Danyal ranking their top 3 of something, they will narrate a story about tennis star, Roger Federer. And this is our third episode on tennis

Segment 2: Story Of A Tennis Player Going To A Finals Game (Roger Federer)

Logan: Alright Luke and Danyal, lets hear your narration of a made up story about a day in the life of Roger Federer.

Danyal starts off the story by talking about going to the wimbledon courts final when something scary happens: As Roger enters the dimly lit corridors of Wimbledon [sound effect], an eerie silence enveloped the usually erupting stadium. All of the audience are creepily staring at him. Strange shadows danced along the walls, and the player felt an inexplicable weird sensation in the air. With each step, the echoes of phantom footsteps seemed to follow, creating an unsettling feeling.[sound effect]As he approached Center Court, the lights flickered ominously, casting haunting shadows on the grass. The player’s heart raced as the anticipation of the final transformed into a spine-chilling encounter with the unknown

Luke continues the story by talking about Roger Federer’s reactions to this: In a random moment of nervous laughter, Roger decides to break the eerie silence. He comes up with an intelligent theory.[sound effect] “What if,” he said aloud, “the ghostly presence haunting Wimbledon is just a retired tennis ball collector upset about the missed shots?” As the words left his lips, a soft chuckle echoed through the corridors. Suddenly, the lights steadied, and the once ominous shadows seemed to retreat. Federer, amused by his own playful twist, continued towards Center Court, now with a newfound sense of confidence.

Danyal continues again: Little did he know, their impromptu joke had unwittingly appeased the spirit of the disgruntled ball collector. As the master, Roger Federer, stepped onto the court, the ghostly laughter faded, leaving behind an atmosphere of amusement rather than fear. The Wimbledon final proceeded as he faces his opponent Novak Djokovic under the watchful eye of a spectral tennis aficionado, who was not really haunting but rather enjoying the game from the other side. And so, Federer won in 5 crazy sets. The ball collector had suddenly disappeared and as Federer held the trophy, he realized that this was all in his head because he was so nervous about the match. The aficionado didn’t even exist! Federer happily takes home the trophy and even though it felt really mysterious, Federer realizes that the fear in his head was worth it as he got the wealthy, gold trophy that he will cherish forever.

    Segment 1: Introduction

This is our third episode about tennis, This episode Luke and danyal will give their opinions on the best tennis Matches in history, and today we have a guest who

,will rank them. We think that this is important to talk about because it is basically what the sport is, its like baseball games or track meets. Our guest plays tennis, and knows a lot about the sport. “How about you introduce yourself.”(Manas introduces himself). Why do you like tennis? Who is your favorite tennis player? Do you watch a lot of tennis?”(Manas answers all the questions)

    Segment 2: Ranking

    Luke:

3: John Isner vs Nicolas Mahut 2010 Wimbledon First Round. First round matches are usually not very competitive, as some of the best players in the tournament play against the worst players in the tournament. This match wasn’t like most first round matches as this match lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, carrying over into a second day. This was the longest match of all time. John Isner ended up winning the match 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (7-9), 7-6 (7-3), 70-68.

2: Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic 2013 French Open Semi-Final. This match was the best clay court player in Rafael Nadal vs the best player in the world at the time in Novak Djokovic. This match ended up being a total shootout as both players were going back and forth. Rafael Nadal managed to win this match 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 9-7.

1: Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal 2008 Wimbledon Final. This match was the King of Clay courts vs the King of Grass courts in Roger Federer. You might think Roger Federer would be the clear winner because Wimbledon is on grass, but no, this match went down as one of the best matches of all time. Nadal won the first two sets. In the 4th set Nadal was up 5-2 and had multiple championship points. Federer held on though and ended up taking the 4th set. The 5th set was epic as both players taking the lead. Rafael Nadal pulled away with the win 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (6-8), (9-7)

    Danyal:

3: Novak Djokovic Vs. Rafael Nadal 2012 Australian Open Final. This match was probably one of the best hard court matches ever. A significant match in the Djokovic–Nadal rivalry, Djokovic defeated Nadal 5–7, 6–4, 6–2, 6–7, 7–5 to win the tournament. It was the longest major final match (by duration) in history, lasting 5 hours 53 minutes, overtaking the record previously set by the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl.

2: Rafael Nadal Vs. Roger Federer 2008 Wimbledon Final. After 4 hours and 48 minutes of play, Nadal defeated Federer 6–4, 6–4, 6–7, 6–7, 9–7. The match is regarded by many as one of the greatest tennis matches ever played.

    Episode #7

You are listening to Top 3 Network the podcast with your host Logan and Co Hosts, Luke and Danyal.

In this episode of Top 3 Network the Podcast we discuss: the Top 3 Tournaments in Tennis.

    Segment 1: Introduction

This is our second episode about tennis, This episode Luke and danyal will give their opinions on the best tennis tournaments, and I, Logan, will rank them. These tournaments that you will be hearing in this episode are the most popular part of the sport. Even though there are not that many huge tournaments and grandslams, there is so much to talk about during it.

    Segment 2: Ranking

    Danyal:

         3. ATP Nitto Finals- It is like the final of the full atp tour of like most to all tennis players. Not 2 or 1 because it is not a grandslam

          2. Wimbledon-Biggest tournament(called the championship)It is the most formal and classic championship. There are many famous courts and grass courts. The main reason I love this is because Roger Federer is my favorite player as we talked about last episode and he is like the “King of Grass” and the best grass player who has probably ever lived.

    1. U.S. Open-It is the most “hype” and like the crowd’s connection with the players finish and show off the vibes throughout. Along with this, in New Jersey, we get to watch the quarter finals and after that at night. I have been to the U.S. Open and the vibe when you see a top player that is liked win is unimaginable. My personal favorite stadium there is the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

    Luke:

3: Roland Garros (French Open): This is my third favorite tournament because it is the only major tournament played on clay courts since 1978 and is special because of that.

2: US Open: This is my second favorite tournament because I have been there and the vibe is amazing. There are three major courts, the Grandstand, Louis Armstrong Stadium, and Arthur Ashe Stadium. There are also 17 side courts. The US Open will always be a classic as it has been going on for the past 50 years. It is played on hard courts which is concrete.

1: Wimbledon: This is my favorite tournament because it is known as the championship and known to be the most prestigious tournament in the world. It is very formal and it is oldest tournament in tennis. WImbledon is also the only major tournament that is still played on grass courts, which is another reason why this tournament is so special.

    Episode #6

You are listening to Top 3 Network the podcast with your host(s) Logan and Co-Hosts Luke and Danyal.

In this episode of Top 3 Network the Podcast we discuss: The Top 3 Tennis Players.

    Segment 1: Introduction

This is our first episode where the topic is strictly tennis. So, today we are gonna talk about a fun topic. We are talking about the players in tennis! Luke and Danyal will be listing their top 3 tennis players accordingly, and I, as the host, will be judging and ranking them in the end just like always. Ok let’s get straight to it!

Segment 2: Ranking The Top 3 Tennis Players

    Luke:

3: Carlos Alcaraz: Only has two grand slams but has beaten some of the best tennis players at a very young age. I think of all-time he isnt one of the best players, but currently is on track to become one of the best players to play the sport.

2: Rafeal Nadal: He is the second highest in mens grandslams at 22, he created the iconic banana forehand which allows him to get a lot of spin on the ball. He has beat many good players. Even tho he is on the tail end of his career and is suffering many injuries, he still deserves a spot on this list.

1: Novak Djokovic: He has the most mens grandslams at 24. He has been winning grandslams for a while and is the biggest threat of all-time. He has also been ranked Number 1 at the end of each year 8 different times. Getting number 1 once is insane, but getting it 8 times is bizarre.

    Danyal:

3:Rafael Nadal-Second Highest male grandslams, play-style is great(banana forehand is iconic) greatest defensive player of all time

2: Novak Djokovic-Highest men grandslams. According to stats he is literally the best mens player of all time.

1: Roger Federer-Third highest men grandslams. He is the most iconic and famous tennis player. The most richest too based on salary. I believe that he is just an icon and tennis and the way he made and inspired more people to play tennis/influence on the world is the biggest. He also has the most weeks as a number 1 tennis player in a row. The way he plays is like formal, and like beauty. In slow motion, its like an art watching him play.

    Segment 3: Combine and Judging

3: Roger Federer-third highest men's grand slams-the best according to stats

2: Rafael Nadal - as luke and danyal said, second highest men's grand slams

1:Novak Djokovic - as luke and danyal said he is the highest in grandslams and his career still has time left in his career, unlike nadal who is almost at the end of his career and federer who has already retired.

    Segment 1: Introduction

In this episode we will be discussing the top 3 baseball uniforms. So far, the aspects of baseball we have talked about so far are the top 3 stadiums, players, teams, and games. Now, we are gonna talk about intriguing and more fun topic. I don’t know about you guys, but for me, certain jerseys are some of the most fun topics to talk about. I find this topic fascinating because jerseys are an important part of the fans in baseball. The fans buy their favorite team’s jerseys, based on how they look which is an important part in baseball. A team with good jerseys will get advertised well and more fans will buy it! Anyways, Luke and Logan will be listing their favorite uniforms and I, as the host, will be judging and ranking them in the end just like always. Ok let’s get straight to it!

Segment 2: Ranking the Top 3 Baseball Uniforms

    Luke:

3: New York Yankees Home Jerseys: They are very classic witht the navy blue pin stripes and the NY logo on the front. The back is also very classic with the number and no last names.

2: Cincinnati Reds City Connect Jerseys: The black is very clean and makes the red in the outline on “Cincy” and makes it stand out. I admire the color combination of red and black when they go together. Overall this jersey is one of the best in the league.

1: Colorado Rockies City Connect Jerseys: There is a green and white mountain going through the jersey and makes the colors pop. The mountain is split in half in the front and the back of the jersey. The jersey is overall very clean and fits the theme of mountains in Colorado.

    Logan:

3: san diego padres city connect: i don’t think this uniform would be good as a full tim jersey, but this jersey just has a lot of bright colors that go really well with each other. This uniform reminds me of arizona ice tea Again i do not think that this jersey would be good to use all the time, but it is a very clean jersey to use every once in a while.

2: dodger home jersey is a timeless jerseyand thehad the design for 70 years , with a white base with blue letters with a pop of red in the numbrs looks really good, you know that it was designed very well when it has been used almost as long as the team has been around.

So far, the aspects of baseball we have talked about so far are the top 3 stadiums, the top 3 players, and the ; 3 teams. Now, we are gonna talk about something more intense and lowkey interesting. I don’t know about you guys, but for me, certain plays are like the most fun thing to talk about. Luke and logan will be listing their favorite plays and I, as the host, will be judging and ranking them in the end just like always. Ok let’s get straight to it!

Segment 2: Ranking the Top 3 Baseball Games

    Luke:

3: On October 26th, 1997, it was game 7 of the world series, the game went to 11 innings where the Florida Marlins ended up closing the game out against the Cleveland Indians. Bobby Bonilla hit a walkoff single with the bases loaded and two outs to win the Florida Marlins their first ever World Series. The final score was 3-2, Florida Marlins win.

2: On November 2nd, 2016, it was game 7 of the world series, the score was 6-3 going to the 9th inning, the Indians scored to tied the game. The Cubs ended up winning in the 10th inning where they ended up winning. The final score was 8-7, the Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians.

1: On October 14th, 2015, Jose Bautista had an iconic bat flip in the 7th inning of a playoff game. The game was tied 3-3 and Bautista hit a 3 run home run, which made them win the game. The Toronto Blue Jays ended up closing the game against the Texas Rangers because of him.

    Logan:

3- The most innings in a game:on may 1, 1920, the brooklyn robins (now know as the dodgers)played the boston braves. This game took amost 4 hours and 26 innings. The score, 1-1 New york times reported that the game was only stopped because of how dark it was outside.

2-in 1922 the cubs lead 25-6 in the fourth inning against the phillies but the phillies ended the game with the bases loaded and a final score 26-23, with the cubs taking the win. I think that this game should be number 2 because the game should have basically been over when the cubs had a 19 run lead on the phillies but they were able to score 17 more runs.

1-the longest lasting game in terms of time: in 1984 the chicago white sox played the milwaukee brewers. This game took 25 innings and a total of 8 hours and 6 minutes, on may 8 the game was paused in the 18 inning with the game tied 3-3, the game was paused because of an american league rule that prohibited play after 1 a.m. the game was resumed the next day and the white sox won 7-6

Danyal: So, to track back, so far, we have discussed the top 3 baseball stadiums and the top 3 baseball players. This time we will be talking about the top 3 baseball teams. Like last time, this is also a more relevant topic. I, danyal, as the host don’t know that much about baseball, so Logan and Luke will be trying to inform and persuade me about this topic. Today, Luke and Logan, once again will be ranking their top 3 baseball teams each. I will be ranking these teams based on what I have heard about them. Let’s get straight to it!

    Segment 3: Ranking

    Danyal:

    1.  yankees(just based on the records and the iconic players, plays, the team itself. By the way what are your guys predictions for who will win the World Series this year. It is tied right now!)

  • Top 3 Baseball Players
    Oct 20 2023

So last episode we talked about the top 3 baseball stadiums. But, today we are going to be talking about a more relevant topic which is the top 3 baseball players. This is most likely the biggest part of baseball as they literally make the game. So, obviously, we thought we needed to talk about it. So, today Luke and Logan will be ranking their top 3 players each, and again, they will be trying to persuade me and you on their favorite players as I will be ranking them in the end.

Matt Olson (Atlanta Braves, First Base, led the league with 54 home runs and 139 RBIs batting average was 21st in the league at .283)

Mike Trout - angels CF In his career 1624 hits, 368 HR, .301 batting average, 1106 runs, 940 RBIś, 206 stolen bases,

Ronald Acuna Jr. (Atlanta Braves, Right Field, led the league with 73 stolen bases, had the second-best batting average at .337, 5th highest amount of home runs at 41 and 106 RBIs)

Aaron Judge -(Yankees of) (8th season, started playing for Yankees 2016) (holds the MLB record for most HRs in a season with 62 HRs, beat Roger Marisś HR record of 61 from 1961) (614 R, 846 H, 572 RBI, entered 2023 with 220 HRs)

Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Angels, TWP, 4th in the league in home runs at 44 and 95 RBIs, 10th in the league with a batting average of .304)

Shohei Ohtani - (in his regular season he has 167 strikeouts this season and 608 Strikeouts in his career)

Honorable Mention: Spencer Strider (Atlanta Braves, Starting Pitcher, led the league with 20 regular season wins and 281 strikeouts)

Danyal ranks his top 3 best current baseball players based off of Luke and Logans explanations

1.Shohei Ohtani(So, logan was talking about how he is a great pitcher and luke was talking about his stats of being a great batter. And he is the only pitcher who also bats in the mlb and he’s insane at Both of them.)

    2. Aaron Judge(The way he was talked about, he has an amazing arm. He holds the record for the most home runs in a single season so i think thats a main reason that makes him so great)

3.Ronald acuna jr.`Out of the 5 players that were talked about today, in my opinion, he is a great option not to be the best but at least at the thrd spot. like luke said he broke the braves all time record with 73 stolen bases and like luke said, he had the second best batting average in this past season.
