We’re jumping back into the draft room this week to take a look back at the best movies from the last year of the 20th Century. With Y2K looming, we spent the year hanging out in the Matrix, getting back into Star Wars and doing inappropriate things with baked goods. Rob, Dave and Kurt will attempt to draft the best movies in a year that had an Austin Powers sequel, multiple cartoons and some underground hits that turned out to be some of the best movies of all time. They’ll laugh, they’ll cry and they’ll argue, but in the end, it’ll be a ton of fun and we’ll see who ends up with the best team of films. The 1980s were a thrilling era for rock music, marked by numerous innovations, iconic bands, and memorable hits. The 80s saw diverse sub genres of rock to include glam metal, thrash metal, post-punk, new wave and the beginning of alternative rock. Iconic bands dominated the decade like Guns N Roses, U2, Journey, Bon Jovi and Queen hitting the airwaves and concert stages leaving an indelible mark on rock music. This week Rob will introduce a top rock song for each year of the 80s and see if Dave likes or hates his choices. As is usual, there'll probably be some debate, but all the Robsters will most likely enjoy everything Rob chooses. There were many epic types of movies in the 80s from action to adventure, thrillers to teen comedies, there was something for everyone in the decade. However, one topic that hadn’t been touched, and was ultimately needed in 1987 was a movie about truck drivers and arm wrestling. Team 80’s and 90s will tackle their first Sylvester Stallone movie with a special guest, hoping to tackle all of the big questions like, Did Stallone kidnap that kid? Can you drink an entire can of oil? And is the arm wrestling tournament double elimination?
