About a decade ago, he began tying flies, eventually joining Atlantic River Outfitting Company's Commercial Fly-Tying team in 2022, where he's gained recognition for crafting top-quality Atlantic Salmon and Trout patterns. In 2023, Troy became a Canadian Ambassador for Partridge Hooks, solidifying his place in fly tying.
