On November 18th, 1986, Helle was dropped off at her Newtown, Connecticut home by her friends and fellow flight attendants after having worked a long-haul flight from Frankfurt, West Germany. This was the last time she walked through her front door. After this, she was never heard from or seen again. Meanwhile, her husband, Richard Crafts was convinced he had committed the perfect crime... Something with a freezer, a chainsaw, and a wood chipper. Their daughter, 24-year-old Jennifer, said good night to her mother but before going upstairs, she unlocked the front door. At 10:02 PM, she turned on the lights in the upstairs study. Some minutes later, three men entered the home through the unlocked front door. What happened next was a horrifying ordeal for both Hann and Bic.
