  • #281 - Doing your Duty
    Dec 7 2025

Sometimes Sin has a long-lasting effect on our lives; whether it is due to cause an effect or sometimes just guilt in having committed the sin to begin with.

In 2 Samuel 13:21-39 we see how David's sin with Bathsheba affected him and his household moving forward. Andrew and Robert discuss the problems of doing nothing even after asking for forgiveness for the wrongs you have done.

  • #280 - He Took the Poor Man's Lamb
    Nov 23 2025

Imagine the anger you would feel when you hear about a massive injustice done to a regular person by someone in power. Now imagine the guilt you experience when you realize YOU are the perpetrator of that injustice.

Andrew and Robert discuss the emotions that David went through as Nathan recounted David's own recent history back to him. The consequences went on to damage David's family for many years.

  • #279: Quicken Me According to Thy Word
    Nov 16 2025

As Robert and Andrew near the end of Psalm 119 they notice something special and dive deeper into how it was written as a song.

The writer of Psalm 119, King David, really focused on specific areas in each section of his writing and in verses 145-160 he paid close attention to requesting a Quickening.

    Nov 9 2025

Ah, Ephesians 5. We focus most on, "Wives obey your husbands" and "Husbands love your wives" but there is so much more in the chapter. There are guides into how families should work together and how we should treat each others as members of Jesus' church.

Andrew and Robert do dive into the husbands & wives section to examine what most of us get wrong.

  • #277: Jesus Knew
    Nov 2 2025

Jesus says, "One of you will betray me."

The Disciples, "Is it me? Is it me?"

Jesus knew how his death would come to pass and He tried to prepare his disciples but what they were hoping would happen clouded their judgement to what was going to happen.

As we see what is going on around us are we blind, hoping for an outcome different from what the Bible says? Are we doing what Jesus did to stay on mission?

Robert and Andrew read from John 13 and discuss the topic, "Jesus Knew"

  • #276: Thy Righteousness is Everlasting
    Oct 26 2025

Andrew and Robert continue on with Psalm 119 covering verses 129-144. Verse 142 says, "Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is the truth." This is where the title of today's episode originates.

With God's righteousness being everlasting what does that say about the Old Testament where most people treat God as if he were vengeful? Do we even have a right to judge God's activities when our frame of reference is so small?

  • #275: Jeremiah's Way vs Urijah's Way
    Oct 12 2025

How can two prophets, who prophesy using the words that God gave them, end up with two vastly different results? Jeremiah, when faced with adversity and threats of death, handled the situation with confidence and Urijah handled his situation with fear. But what about Eljah? When he was threatened by Queen Jezebel he ran in a fear?

Andrew and Robert discuss the differences and explain how we should handle stressful, dangerous times.
