  • The Mayflower and Spanish Armada in Plymouth
    Jul 25 2024

Nigel and I traveled to Plymouth to film at the steps where the Mayflower launched in 1620. While it’s not Tudor history, it is a significant chapter in both English and American history. On our way to this historic spot, I encountered so many fascinating sights that I wanted to share with you!

  • My Chat with the Earl of Devon at Powderham Castle
    Jul 16 2024

This was one of those surreal, pinch-me moments I experienced on my trip to England. It’s not every day you get the chance to interview a member of the peerage, and doing so in his own home was truly extraordinary—I can scarcely believe it happened, had I not captured it on video.

As the current Earl of Devon, Charlie Courtenay descends from a long line of Courtenay men who skillfully navigated history's challenges. Charlie, as he likes to be called, was an absolute delight to talk to about his family history and his current residence.

This episode is probably best if watched as a video on Spotify or YouTube, but should also make sense by listening. I'll include a link to the images discussed.

My visit to Buckfast Abbey was a surprise. My trusty guide Nigel did not tell me we would be stopping there but it turned into one of my best memories from my trip.
